Now, I'm only guessing here, but I think most of the folks saying this stuff are under 18 anyway.List said:sadly this only works for people 18 <= and below
They need to find another as effective way for immature idiots above 18
Disagree there, plenty of adults totally fail at being decent members of society.Lotet said:Now, I'm only guessing here, but I think most of the folks saying this stuff are under 18 anyway.List said:sadly this only works for people 18 <= and below

Only trash ?knock sense? into their kids. A good parent can talk sense into their kids, or at least use different punishing tactics other than beating.Bat Vader said:I'm not one for child abuse but if I was the father of that kid I would knock some sense into him. ? Only trash use rape threats.
And only if the parents care.List said:sadly this only works for people 18 <= and below

Do I have to bring up those words again?Steve Waltz said:Only trash ?knock sense? into their kids. A good parent can talk sense into their kids, or at least use different punishing tactics other than beating.
No, you don?t, because I?m not telling anyone how to raise their kids. But I will openly call a parent that beats their children ?trash.?Zachary Amaranth said:Do I have to bring up those words again?Steve Waltz said:Only trash ?knock sense? into their kids. I dunno. As a 21 year old who has been living away from home for three years, if my mum were to call me after hearing that I sent someone a rape threat,[footnote]Completely hypothetically, obviously.[/footnote] I would be scared shitless.List said:sadly this only works for people 18 <= and below

The point remains, as does the attitude.Steve Waltz said:No, you don?t, because I?m not telling anyone how to raise their kids. But I will openly call a parent that beats their children ?trash.?
Unless they put gun in my face.
In my experience, quite often. The Choke said:Just sayin', I have personally witnessed this tactic backfire hard. Sometimes, assholes get it from their parents.
I'm definitely more of a "nurture" than "nature" person myself though I think a lot of times it's that kids are raised by whatever media is available because their parents aren't. This isn't necessarily a dig on their parents- in my country, low-income families are really, really busy and it's hard to spend all the time with your kids that you'd like to when you need to work two jobs, and so is it any surprise that while you're dealing with eighteen-million things, your kids are getting raised by the internet/television/videogames/comic books? That's why I so appreciate efforts to get some tasty, intellectual nuggets into this shit. Maybe kids my day were getting raised by television, but goddamnit, they got raised by 3-2-1 Contact, Wishbone, Reading Rainbow, and Star Trek TNG.Zachary Amaranth said:In my experience, quite often.
