Reach, first impressions?

I'm trying to say that I hate the 1.6 gigabetrillion Halo Reach threads being made every .0000000001 nanoseconds. On my screen right now there are 3 different Halo Reach threads on the "Recently Posted in" topics.

Why not just ignore them?

You really have no reason to be doing what you are doing. It would be best if you left off going into these threads at all unless you have nothing constructive to add and just want to start an argument.

No one's forcing you to even be on these forums. If you don't like it, come back when the hype has died down. All you're doing in arguing and even if it wasn't your intention, you really are looking like a troll.

Try to keep cool in a situation where a hundred little fanboys are clammering about a game that is EXTREMELY hyped up.

And absolutely has no effect on you other than if you decide to intentionally read these threads for the sole purpose of bashing people whom like Halo, simply because you do not like it.

You know, this thread has a hostility level between Xbox Live and 4chan so I think I'll quit posting here after saying this: People here have ZERO tolerence towards opinions and if anyone insults someone you like you have to hunt them down and flame them.

I did do exactly that when MW2 was released. The level of fan-boyism I saw was just ridiculous. However, the difference between me and you in this situation was that I actually played the game and formed my opinion out of first hand experience of the games (as I saw it) flaws as opposed to a "hate it if it's cool" mentality you seem to have.

But still, I kept my tongue in my mouth and my hands off the keyboard because it is their right to enjoy whatever they want to enjoy and, as long is no else is harmed, it's not my (or yours, for that matter) place to tell them otherwise.

You should respect all forms of good games even if you don't like them. I hate some very popular games that I hear are quite good. I may dislike them but i respect the fact they bring some people entertainment

Also, i noticed that Judgement101-s final post before he got suspended was about Civ 5 and how he really wanted to play it. For a second i actually though i should to what he did here: go to that thread and and say something not very nice about a game that hasn't come out yet. And then i beat the idea out of my head. I guess there's a little troll/flamer inside all of us, no matter how hard we punch it. Luckily I've seen the mods at work, and i one day want to get my Morpheus badge, so doing something like that is a definite no-no.

My copy won't be here until tomorrow or wednesday, but I'm looking forward to playing it. The beta was quite fun so now it's just hoping the finished result is polished and good fun. Most of my friends have pre-ordered it too so we will have a couple of games together too, just a shame the Halo series is one of the only games some of my friends play.

He's probably tired of seeing 15 billion Halo threads. I'd understand if it did something that was never seen or heard of but its just a more polished Halo 3 with a more polished Forge world.

This is why I said it. I can't go into Gaming Dicussion without seeing "Holy balls! Halo Reach TOMARROW OMG!" or "Holy Halo Reach Batman!" or "Awesome Halo Reach!" It annoys me soooooooo much.

OP: Well, it's actually looking pretty darn good, and I may consider getting it. I've only played 3, and a bit of 1, but they seemed decent enough, but for Reach... I may have to see if I can find a cheap copy and invite a buddy over for some co-op story and firefight.

Eh it's on the knife's edge of disrupting canon from the baskstory I've managed to scrounge up. I need to play the game in full, but I'm guessing it screws up the canon a bit. Probably not enough to destroy the story though.
