I...really hate people.

I play Gears of War, I actually had someone on my team start bitching about the enemy team "Shootgguuun whooooooores" over and over, stretched out like that, like he was mentally infirm. Then as soon as the enemy used the lancer to kill him "lancerrrrr whoooooores"

I also pretty much hate the MW2 community, I've had so many people threaten things about my mother, I'm not even good at the damn game. Infact I am the anti-good. just because I like using a single sub machine gun, and running around without shouldering my weapon to fire in close range, I'm somehow cheating. where their whole team is spamming shotguns, grenade launchers, or camping. I don't have a problem with any of those things, except past the launcher, they should just realize equipping a gun, is not cheating.

Unrelated, but that is an awesome avatar.

OT: *shrug* The usual, anoying whiny kids on MW2. Not that I even play it anymore.

It was funny hearing one kid rage every time he died though, when honestly: He was crap at the game. Ahh good times.

I'm not up on my RTS jargon, cause I suck at human-vs-human RTS games... What's a 'cheese' strat?
cheesing is things like sneak attacking your enemies miners when they have an army you could have fought, or really early rushing
How is a viable military tactic considered cheese? One of the ways you defeat your opponent, disrupt their supply lines.

I've been yelled at in Left 4 Dead plenty of times. One time was rather memorable though: I was playing in an Expert with three people I didn't know and we were doing pretty well. Anyway, three chapters in, everyone got knocked down by a Tank and I took him down on my own, earning that 'Man vs. Tank' thing. As I was helping everyone up they were all screaming and bitching at me for cheating or hacking or whatever it was, and someone was adamant on calling me a ******.

I plugged in my mic after that and used my (female) voice to throw actual logic in their faces. They all left after that.

This right here has won the thread.

It's funny how one achievement throws the entire world out of balance.

Using a chainsaw in gears...

Yeah, I'll just let you try and kill me cause you don't like it when I chainsaw you. I'm just using what's given to me, don't like it? Don't play, simple as.

Most of the time, when they don't know i'm there, I'll just chainsaw them for the lol's
But I could of killed them anyway I wanted, cause they're to stupid to turn around every now and then..

I think I just play to get on little kids nerves. Commando, lightweight and tactical knife anyone? If a little kid starts crying, tell them that they should be thankful that they're playing an 18, or a game for adults. Adults don't moan cause they got killed

(most of them at least..)

I made a Javelin class that I just crouch in some bushes and shoot where I think people are. You would be surprised how good you can get with it :D.
lol oh believe me i know i now have 4 of them and have about 800 kills with it heheheh XD

I played Heroes of Newerth when it was in beta and I'd get shouted at alot for using the wrong item/skill build for heroes.

Most of the time I did pretty well but apparently I was a worthless noob because I didn't level the skill that they usually level, regardless that I was 1700+ psr and 1.9 kdr. I was still a noob.

When I played WoW (ages ago now) as a priest, I was always sure to put a HoT on someone when they started taking damage. A fair bit of the time, that was all I needed to do, and it was an instant-cast. When it wasn't enough, it gave plenty of buffer time to cast something much more powerful. Win win. Didn't stop people having a go at me for "wasting mana". :| Sorry, pal, I must be doing something wrong since my mana bar is near full all the time. While the nuke was busy unloading his entire reserve every fight and asking for/drinking all my damn potions (alchemy was a very useful and practical skill, I found).

Okay. So I haven't played XBL for a while so I decided to start playing again the other day and played MW2 not even the third match I played in I was yelled at. Not for being bad mind you. For ACTUALLY playing the game how your supposed to be by doing something some twelve year old kid decided to call HARD Scoping with my sniper. If you don't know what HARD Scoping is its when you zoom in and stay zoomed in. I didn't know that was against the law of the online gaming universe to use a weapon the way it was intended. LIKE SERIOUSLY the kid yelled at me called me a cheater and kept saying how much better at the game he was than me when every match I played against him he was always last on his team and I was near the top.

So here is the question I pose to you Escapist. What is the most outrageous thing you have ever been yelled at while playing a game online.
((Cencored just so it wont affend anyone))

well, in Squad Rush on BC2 ((i'm usually a sniper, it's my strong spot)) it was me plus 1 other guy on my team, their team also had 2 guys, the guy on the other team quites then rejoins on our team and starts killing us. their excuse

"it's called RUSH for a reason, we did that to get you out of your effing camping spots, pussy snipers"

i admit, i wasn't rushing, why? because they were camping and sniping. anybody else notice a hypocrite here?

I say. In Tf2 Medics are generally a core part of gameplay.
Clearly they've never played with a good Battle Medic ;D

Those people were obviously a bit thick then lol. (Alchemy ftw!)

Though the guys I'm talking about wud spam heals on everyone and everything after the slightest bit of damage. It just slows up the instance too much. I think alot of people (priests and paladin's are particularly guilty of this) need to read up on how to effectively use their healing skills. Gives me pain to see a Holydin spamming Holy Light when the tank is on 90%+ Health... on Trash :p

Taste [Insert community medic weapon here that could be quite decent that we should get but no one could be arsed to make.] Dummkopfe.

Most people frown upon battle medics since they think they never heal anyone.

This has probably already been said a few times in the last nine pages, but I believe I have isolated your problem.

Seriously, have you not played against tweens before? This sort of whiney pre-pubescent/mid-adolescent crap is par for the course. I remember being around that age myself (a loooooong time ago... like 16-bit machines, and 4/5-player games using dongles being novel) and the default mode of play was to either ***** about or be bitched at with accusations of cheating. The difference being we actually COULD, though it usually came down to physically interfering with someone's joystick or giving them the half-broken pad. (Or complaining that having to be the keyboard player gave you an unfair disadvantage)

Laugh it off, they've still got the joys of developing spots, stinky sweat, random patches of hair and breaking voice* to go through. They'll suffer in their turn.
(* is there yet enough equality amongst younger gamers for me to add "/hitting menarche" to this?)
