Rebecca Mayes Muses: Worms 2: Armageddon

In all of the other videos I always said that the music improved and that it took me some time to get all the video and than (after I got it) I enjoy it.
Well, in this video I just can't say that...

The music sounded worse than before (to my opinion at list) and I got the video the first time but still did not enjoy it (not enjoying it is the nice way to say what I really think of it).

It's kind of sad since I really looked forward to this video after four good ones and this just filled me with disappointment...

Well, maybe the next one would be better

Not to be cruel, but this was the last chance for the videos, and I felt this wasn't that bad...

Why? The man doesn't think the songs are so great, what kind of solid reasoning is supposed to go behind that? Are you going to go up to people who like it and ask them to give some solid reasoning to back up their opinion?

OPINIONS. Don't you understand that? An opinion isn't something you can or should discuss. You can't be constructive about whether you like an apple or an orange.

It's not a question of the validity of a given opinion, but rather the dramatically low content provided. You don't like apples? That's fine. Why post to say you don't like apples? Who the hell cares that you don't like apples, and what can simply saying "They don't taste good" do to improve the work being done by the farmers that grow the apples you don't like? If you don't like apples, don't eat them, and don't post just to say that you don't like them.

If apples don't taste "good", talk about something that does taste "good" to give a point of reference for your distaste.

I don't like the way you stated your original opinion, so I offered something you could do to modify your opinion to suit my personal tastes of what makes a "good" opinion. It really doesn't matter whether you like it or not. The reason I'm not calling out the people who like it out is because they aren't being pointless dicks.

I'm glad that you've provided some reference for your dislike of the series, however, you seem compelled to come back on a regular basis to spew about how you still don't like it. It's really quite simple. If you don't like it, you don't have to keep trying to argue about it.

I completely agree with basically everything you said. But at the same time I've very VERY glad the repetitive chorus is gone and she tried something new.

Watching the Escapist videos is one of my hobbies... I couldn't stand videogame theater and yet I still watched it every time (the intro was neat though... I miss it), and I'd say Rebecca Muses is at least a step up from that...

If I had to validate why I don't like it (which I don't have to, but will) then I'd say its because in terms of music I've always been more for good ole musicianship than all those fancy electronic loop editing software ness. If she cleverly edited videos and played an acoustic and sung her little heart out, it would endear me to no end. These videos just feel fake and almost heartless to me. Its more like she's an actor than a musician. Oh and there's that repetitive choruses thing. That's just how I feel though... feel free to disagree!

I was expecting this to sound like the previous songs, but this surprised me. I liked it. My favorite is still Bionic Commando, though. Keep up the good work.

Hmm, this is probably the weakest one so far, but I still liked it.

Also, for everyone who comes on every video to go "Nope! It's still crap!"... Wow. I'm not a fan of Apocalypse Lane, but you know what? I don't watch it! I then go on to not bother commenting on it, saying that I'm still not a fan of it! (and a pre-emptive response to "That's not the same thing!"... It's exactly the same.)

Liked this one almost as much as the Sims 3 one. The lyrics in this one was funnier but I preferred the music from the Sims 3 one. Music was still pretty good though

I'll say the quality dipped in this one for me. I don't really see what people are saying about the repetition, but this one is definitely distinct, though I didn't really enjoy it for that.

OT: I like that you're changing things up, but I thought this was somewhat weak compared to some of your others. I guess that's just because I'm not a big fan of accapella. Either way, I do enjoy your videos.

Maybe you need to watch the others over again back to back... its pretty blatant. Alternatively, read the comments for her third and fourth videos, people really started to notice it (I made a couple comments myself).

I'm still not quite endeared with Mayes, but at least she did something different

Rebecca is pretty brave to post songs she made in two weeks about video games on the internet, of all places. I can only see this series going uphill over time, and is definitely in the top 3 features on the site.

Not a fan of the a cappella genre, but I'll definitely be tuning in for the next one. Even if you don't like the cartoony feel of my beloved Worms Armageddon.

Giving negative opinions isn't wrong, nor are people with opinions obligated to articulate why they have them. If you must derive connotative meaning from it, you could just take it as "they'd rather escapist be supporting something else."

Yes I always found it funny that just saying you don't like something is a crime but just saying out like it with no explanation is perfectly fine. It is a strange double standard most people have.

As to the video complaining about the graphics in a game this old? Colour me confused. That and while the style is at least different to the other videos it is also little more than meh. It just does not go anywhere or do anything I could call interesting. Just bland.
