Recently moved out of my parents and in with my girlfriend in the city. Realizing that you CAN drift away from your family - I have no knowledge and only weak interest in the lives of my parents and sisters. I always thougt the emotional bond of family was a constant.
It's super awkward to go home and have to smalltalk with your own family because you have nothing substantial to say to them... :-(.
Also realized that you become numb to happiness after a while. You're only really on an emotional high when you're about to achieve something - once you have everything you ever wanted you'll just settle into an uneventful state of being content. Not necesarily a bad thing. It's a nice place to be - it's just a little underwhelming and not very stimulating...

On a related note, a lot of my coworkers are several years younger than me and with a lot more experience in my industry. It's weird.
I was about to send a cover letter to a company for a position I was applying for; I use the same basic outline for cover letters I send and just change a few bits to suit it to the company I'm sending it to.
When reviewing my cover letter I noticed the line "I have heard good things about Royal Bank"....."ROYAL BANK".... a company that I had applied to maybe ten resumes ago! So essentially, I had screwed myself out of all those jobs because of a simple proof reading error I made about ten times.
I'm an idiot!

that women enjoy sex.
I mean, yeah, I've heard about it. Even (supposedly) took part in women enjoying sex a few times. But almost everything about what they have to do during the act would personally disgust me to no end.
-Having something inserted into my body is near a phobia to me. Of course, I mean other than in my mouth, but I have to do it. I can't stand being fed.
-There's nothing attractive about men to me. And I count myself first among that rule. Smelly, hairy, gruff... nasty.
-A lot of it is passive.
-The faces that women make during sex are usually the faces they make when they are in pain. Same for the sounds.
I mean, seriously, kids walking in on their parents having relations normally think 'Daddy's hurting mommy!' for a reason.
And boom. I ruined all of your fun times this even (if a woman is evolved). You're welcome.

Realized: (Or, I have for a while) I think everyone really hates me. Automatically, I think people dislike me. I can like them, but I over-analyze their reactions and assume that I did something to make them loathe me. In reality, probably they think I'm fine, or they pick up the vibe from me and that's why they act stand-offish or insulting.
It also could be that I work with a bunch of librarians, so everyone thinks they're smarter than everyone else and we all have social issues. (I'm the only one without a Masters in the room, so I often feel talked-down to, am also the youngest, etc.)

I wouldn't say awkward, more like stupidity.
I was working today so last night I set up my alarm and got to bed at a reasonable time since my shift was from 9.30am to 5.30pm.
I notice straight away that this morning my alarm woke me up which normally I woke up before the alarm wake me up (my sleeping pattern is weird and I'm a light headed sleeper). It was also odd that my dad didn't wake up either since he always wake up before me (which is normally the result of him waking me up). Anyway since he was still in bed I made lunch myself since he does it for me nor do I want to wake him up just so be can make it (I'm not a child per say).
Other than that I carry on and left the house to work. It was only when I was halfway to work that I look at the time on my smartphone and it was 8.15am meaning I woke up an hour early. I feel such an idiot seeing there had been plenty of times for me to find out sooner (looking at the clock in the kichen, the time on the news and even looking at my phone when I first turned it on).
As for the reason why or how I had woken up so early is these days it's harder to change the alarm time on my alarm clock (hold down the alarm button and press the other buttons to change the time) since I had to press it deep down. Sometime the alarm time and the change time overlap which is the result of the an hour behind time this morning.
