If she likes strategy games, I can recommend Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War II. The first game, mind you. Simply for it's co-op campaign. I know me and my ex had a ton of fun playing it together.

Portal 2 has a co-op campaign, seems perfect. I'm getting it for the same reasons.
Agreed here. My girlfriend has already pre-ordered it. The co-op look like it will will tickle the same bit of my brain as Little Big Planet does.

She might like Castle Crashers. Sure, it has aliens and skeletons etc, but it's humorous and it's easy to pick up. Plus it has coop.

well my friend ,who happens to be female, has really enjoyed playing 50Cent blood on the sand. it's a bit over the top but a solid game. i recently started playing De Blob2, a surprisingly fun game with a co-op mode. if all else fails there is always army of two or lumines.

My wife really likes Blur (XBox360 driving game), which has a decent split-screen mode. We are also ploughing through Lego: Star Wars (Complete Saga) together. We tried Viva Pinata (Trouble in paradise), but it proved to be very very annoying.

My girlfriend does not like zombie games either but loves Plants vs Zombies.
ilomilo is a fun two player puzzle game that we have played together.
Raskulls is cute and fun too.
Fable games are good too.

Hey so my girlfriend is starting to get into gaming (I know how awesome right) once she gets into a game it almost becomes addicting to her (she will have longer gaming sessions then me if she really likes the game). Anyways the only that is stopping her from getting more into is the lack of games that appeal to her. She has a really picky taste but if I find a game she likes she'll play it. The games she likes most right now are little big planet, the uncharted series, and splinter cell conviction. I tried getting her on the previous splinter cells but she didn't like it. I also got her tomb raider thinking she might like it but she didn't. She doesn't want to fight aliens or zombies or anything like that. Also she is not a big fan of horror games. She tried Assassin's Creed I as well but that didn't fly, I might get her to try Assassin's Creed 2 though. We also played a little bit of Call of Duty World at War single player campaign which was ok but I don't think she was thrilled. I was hoping you guys could give me some games that might appeal to her.

We are not limited by system either all 3 current generations are available although she isnt a big fan of the wii.

Bonus points if you can recommend a game that is split screen co-op. She likes games we can play together.
I'm sorry but it wouldn't be girlfriend and i, it would be girlfriend and me.... Just saying.

OT: Bulletstorm and Duke Nukem when it comes out. Just kidding, lol. I have no idea.

Interestingly enough, the thread title should be 'my girlfriend and me'. Although I do now sound like a douche, I'll go on:

OT: Nintendo platformers are fun, and (despite not owning an xbox), having played quite a bit of Halo at my mates,, and despite the hate for it here, I found the co-op really quite fun.

EDIT:

If you own two PCs try MINECRAFT!! Super addicting. If you're not into PCs try Resident evil five. Decent co-op mode. Or Splinter cell (conviction is new and all but chaos theory had a better co-op mode). Splinter cell is awesome.
