I wouldn't mind watching a more toned down remake of the Hobbit movie. I don't like the tone and the scope of Peter Jackson's trilogy and I would like to see the novel made into a single movie. Discard all the filler and epic action scenes and everything should be fine.

The first Legend of Zelda as a 3D game. It would still be barren with few landmarks, but a 3D Zelda perspective. It would be a bit confusing and cryptic, but more intuitive.

Also related to Zelda, Majora's Mask on either 3DS or Wii U. The great themes and environments of the original beg for revamped visuals.

Can't think of any movies I would care enough about to have remade.

I would love to see a good remake of War of the Worlds. One with the modern special effects of Steven Spielberg's 2005 version, but following the original storyline. Set it in England at the end of the nineteenth century, don't Americanise the hell out of it, and for fuck's sake keep Tom Cruise WELL away from it.

Dungeon Keeper, for me.

Was amazing, came out like 15 years ago and it was just fantastic.
Excellent choice, and you may be in luck: http://store.steampowered.com/app/230190/
We will have to see how this goes, but it's about as close to a modern remake of Dungeon Keeper as we're likely to get.

When it comes to movies there can be only one...

In the modern remake, it can be bigger than an Aircraft Carrier

As for games, I would buy a Wii U version of Skyward Sword. It would be worth it to play using the gamepad or, gamepad pro instead of the Wii-mote. That's really all I want in terms of change to that game, everything else can stay if I can just use a standard controller.

Twilight. Just kidding of course!

Batman. Nolan movies were alright, but not really as enjoyable as Tim Burton's flicks. Just make a movie version of Batman from Arkham games. That is the best portrayal of the Caped Crusader ever!

Well, as was already mentioned, Syndicate needs a proper remake. Now that XCom was a success a AAA tactical game based on Syndicate would be amazing.

Also Lemmings! C'mon! Lemmings was simply great. It would be great to have a next-gen HD version.

Justice League cartoon. The one from the 90s was amazing! Make a new one with adult heroes. Nothing meant for dumb teenagers like Teen Titans or whatever. Also Avengers. They had a great show, which portrayed the Marvel univese in an amazing way. And then they replaced it with a crappy one. Remake it again and make it good again!

I just keep thinking of stuff, The Valley of Gwangi. Dinosaur science has advanced a lot since the movie was first made, so I want to see the movie with the same setting but modern effects and modern dinosaur portrayals like Jurassic Park. I mean who wouldn't want to see a modern version of a movie where this happens?

Nichijou. For those unaware, Nichijou is an ongoing Shonen manga which got a 2 season anime adaption, known for being highly underrated, and costing whatever 123,000 x 26 is, then turning the answer into dollars, then in to yen, yet only selling ~2500 official box sets, which cost about 2,000 yen each. I'm horrible at maths, but that's a pretty negative profit.

It's gained near worldwide fame now for being really good at making GIFs out of (look up Nichijou GIFS. Never before has the term "out of context" been so fitting) and being very very very funny. I'm sure Kyoto would make some money back if they rebooted it, with extra advertising.

I've said this before, and I will repeat it because I feel its a series worth a redux... Quest For Glory from the fine minds of the now defunct Sierra. The right amount of humor, serious bznz, and gameplay made this series one of my staple favorites of all time. Also the first game I remember that allowed you to carry over your previous save from game to game. I would love to see a remake that takes the basic story, humor and carryover elements as well as the slight differences per character class, and brings it into modern gaming without trying to make it into a clone of modern RPG hits.

I'd like to see a remake of the Matrix trilogy, and I say that as a huge fan of the original version and only if the remakes were actually also done by the Waschowskis. I would love to see what the years since the originals and the corresponding advances in movie making technology would bring to the story and characters. I'm certainly not saying the end result would be better than the originals, but it would be an interesting vision to see. Besides, if nothing else, the extra time would likely help polish up some of the issues that Reloaded and Revolutions had in terms of content and pacing.

I'd like to see a remake of the League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Mostly because the comic book version was pretty damn good and the movie left quite a bit to be desired.

Oh hell yes. I want to see the Thunderchild ram the tripods just as it was meant to be. That was always my favourite bit. :p

As for my own remake wants, I want the original Deus Ex remade, all nice and shiny with new, improved AI and graphics. Maybe even add a few missions to it, and that removed storyline where you could side with MJ-12.

I wan't a GTA: SA re-release because GTA:SA is an awesome games with a whole lot of stuff to do but it's engine and graphics have aged poorly. Give it better graphics and I'll buy it like it's hot.

You know what?

It'd be cool if it was remade, but was actually well done and haha oh god who am I kidding

The only way to remake Twilight and do it right is taking the basic premise (girl falls in love with a vampire in modern times) and just integrate good characters and a good story, eliminating the awful implications of the series.
