The police find a body sometime in the late-afternoon. The body was found hanging from a rope in the middle of the room, a good three feet away from the floor. Aside from the rope and the body, the room is completely empty.

There were no windows and only one door to get in, and it was locked from the inside (the police had to bust the door down). There are no signs of foul play, nor are there any signs of forced entry (aside from the police's entry), so the only possible conclusion is suicide.

How is this possible?
I believe you left ouut the puddle of water on the floor, indicating that he stood on a block of ice with his head in the noose, and when it melted he hung 'till death.
Nope, no puddle. I assure you the room was empty, aside from the noose and body.

You are close, though.
Block of ice, melted, and then evaporated, leaving no signs.

Once you said he was close it became easy <.<

Loads.
One to search and the rest to point out everything he missed.

I've got one.
A man is found dead in a forest after a forest fire, he is wearing a scuba suit.
He did not die because of the fire, nor as a result of smoke inhalation.
How did he die?
Isnt this from an episode of CSI? Im pretty sure he was scuba diving, stumbled upon a sea mine, which blew him out of the water and into a tree after the forest fire had occured.
his tank took a knock and exploded i think, although don't quote me to that:

OT: what has keys that open no locks, space but no room, and you can enter but not go in?

This is a thread where you can post your riddles and have people answer them. when someone answers your riddle, it is then their turn to make a riddle. search bar approved.

riddle 1:

a man is born in 1976 and dies in 1980 at the age of 27. how is this possible?
He only became a MAN!!! at the age of 23.
Ok now for my riddle: Romeo and Juliet are found on a castle floor dead. They are surrounded by water and broken glass. There is no blood and they were not killed by others nor did they kill themselves. The window is open and there is a strong breeze, how did they die?
They are fish. The wind blew the bowl that was holding them to the ground.

What starts off white and comes down yellow AND white?

I'll give the answer in an "EDIT:"

an egg

There was a man who was on a vacation to Africa, after a few days there he was kidnapped from his Hotel room by some natives. The natives who kidnapped him said they would kill him but let him chose his death.
They told him that he shall give one True and false statement, if it was true then he would be boiled in water, if it was false he would be boiled in oil. The man didn't want to die,but after a few Minuets he prepared a statement.
What was the statement?
pudding.
i win
This statement is false.

which is also the answer.
damn... you got me. Also pudding is always the answer.
I'm pretty sure the statement was supposed to be "I will be boiled in oil."

I'll accept that, but the correct answer was a block of dry ice.

Dry ice goes straight go gas (or "sublimes"), and doesn't leave any moisture behind.

Well, I seriously doubt that he was handling dry ice without any gloves or other protective equipment...

Here's a riddle. The man who makes it doesn't want it, the man who buys it doesn't need it, and the man who uses it doesn't know it. What is it?

What do you call a fish with no eyes?
Blind
No silly you call it a Fssshhhhh
This riddle doesn't work in type since it relies on the homophone. It's a little unfair and misleading to type "eyes" when you mean "I's" :p. (pretty sure the last part is supposed to be "without an 'eye' ")
