So... Yeah.

As if I care. The things the guy said about the U.S.A. and others helping Haiti, are unforgivable.

So, I'm not the glad that he's the only guy understanding that.
90% of U.S. aid towards Haiti is lost and unaccounted for, never reaching it's intended target.

He's not the only one that has noticed. Many people from many countries have stated that aid should stop until this is solved.

Well, anyone who blows that much wind is liable to say SOMETHING I agree with at some point.

Of course, his point is a fallacy, but hey. I doubt he believes %90 of the things he says anyway; I'd go on the air and spout bigotry and non-logic too if I knew it would make me that much money.
He spouts a ton of perfectly logical arguments in context. This is why I detest sound bites.

I guarantee that every quote you've heard about "STOP HELPING HAITI" or any other completely unreasonable thing he has said was either in a parody or horrendously decontextualized. He's not an absolute maniac.
He never said "Stop helping Haiti". He did, however, use the situation to push his anti-president agenda.

I don't even live in the U.S.A., so I could not care less and I'm going purely by the fact that the man was trying to smear an act of helping a country in need by blaming the people who were doing the helping.

He might not be a horrible person - he does charitable stuff, he genuinely wants his country to succeed. Yet he resorts to personal attacks and acts like the absolute worst of Fox News' fame.

Well, I'm not going to ask you where you have that informantion from (whether it is the Daily Show, in which case that had to do with a certain republican senator), simply because that was not the comment I was adressing.

I... I suddenly don't hate him now. (well, not as much.)

This is awesome because it will turn a bunch of conservatives who follow Rush Limbaugh religiously to our side!

Even more awesome, he may not end up ruining the name "Rush" the same way Hitler ruined that mustache!

Wait what?!? Rush Limbaugh?

Wow I never thought someone who is so right wing would ever say anything positive about games. I might have just found a miniscule amount of respect for the man, which will inevitably be destroyed the second he opens his mouth again.

If that's why you can't stand him, then you can't stand any political commentator. It's their job to do this - comment on the government's handling of a situation, make it funny and/or passionate, and push the "here's what I/my party would do in this situation". Agenda pushing is a pre-requisite for the entire line of work.

Oh wait, I have an idea of how I can dissagree with him! Instead of interpriting this as him being against game censorship, he is instead saying that both games and TV need censorship... Let the hate continue.

Um, it's normally the right-wing that advocates "free speech or death". Schwarzenegger is an exception, not the rule (see: Tipper Gore, Joe Lieberman).

If their job is to take shit out of context, twist it around and place it in their programm to make them look as good as possible - then, yes, I can't stand any of them.

I haven't seen that many political commentators because we don't have American channels here, so I can't know if that's what they do all the time.

But if they do, that doesn't make them any better.

But that's not what he said. And if you twist it to mean this, then you're tabloid scum.

Sorry, he said something you agree with. Go take a shower if you need to.

It's just a matter of calculation in chance. The more (BS) you talk, the higher the probable chance will be that you say something that has a resonance somewhere. I still think he's just spouting things (even this) to p!ss people off for his own agenda.

That's what they usually do, not what their job is. Context twisting is something I CANNOT stand. And, ironically, Rush Limbaugh is not a major offender here, but everyone on YouTube with an axe to grind with Rush is.

Rush takes the situation straight and interprets it by the way he sees the world. That's his job. If you wanna see political commentators utterly failing at context, check YouTube commentators or blogs.

Every political commentator does this; it's their "shtick". They take stuff out of context, missrepresent and then attack people.

Some more than others, but in general, they all use stuff that happens to reflect their own ideals on their public.

You should see the stuff they say on MSNBC and CBS. Heck, John Stuart does this on a daily basis in the name of comedy.

Then I guess I don't like his vision of the world.

I did watch YouTube commentators for some time, still do, mostly the atheist ones, but even if they were twisting things out of context, it was basically fighting fire with fire, because Fox are masters at that stuff.

Now, I mostly resort to the Daily Show. (Rally To Restore Sanity And/Or Fear just ended, *sadface*).

I do. I did watch a bunch of Keith Olbermann.

I approve of this. +_+. Though I wish others kind of like him would also stand up for our rights and actually mean it.

I like him in this respect. Nothing else more to say.

I like to listen to what Rush Limbaugh talks about regardless of whether or not I agree with his stance. In this case I can say without any hesitance that I agree with his statement wholeheartedly. There are so many violent, raunchy, and rather tasteless things on television and why is it that people are not blasting away at its content on a daily basis? Why are video games still the main scapegoat?
