"Oh... my head... I think it's bleeding..."

"Calm down, you're just a little jumbled. It passes."

She would have stumbled but with no legs she just managed to sort of flop to one side and fall over. "Ouw...." Luckily the place she had chosen was pretty rich in semi-soft surfaces to land on. She rolled over to put her vision upright and was looking directly to the therapist. "I said 'Ouw'! You're meant to come and help me up, you indecent prick!"

"Oh yes, I am aren't I?" He didn't. He seemed to be rather content with checking out the landscape.

She laid herself back down in the sand, face up, and crossed her arms across her chest, sulking. "Some therapist you are. Bring me all the way here just to look at the ocean."

"Lillith, you brought me here. You wanted to look at the ocean. And I have all day to sit here and wait for you to get over yourself, admit it and then look at the ocean." He walked into her line of sight, far away from her but at the same time near[footnote]In that weird way all fair folk are.[/footnote]. "I suggest you do it now rather than later though. I'm sure your friends would be pretty worried if they just so happened to knock on your door and find that you weren't there to answer."

"Yeh, because tons of people want to talk to me right now..."

"I foresee many great experiences with you this school year," Chaz told the closing door. If he's like this all year then I'm just gonna avoid him. Probably won't be too hard to do. Chaz spent a while to unpack his bag and put away his minimal belongings before leaving the dorm room. He almost hid his wings again, but caught himself in the act. Stop that! he yelled at himself. Don't do that anymore! He shook his head and started back towards the staircase at the end of the long, eerily straight hall.

"hmmm I wonder what books this school has on offer" Jeffery wondered to himself as he reached the gatherings of buildings that made up the main school and started looking around for any kind of sign to indicate where the library might be, noticing a signpost at the end of the path that gave directions to various places of interest throughout the school, Jeffery saw the arrow for the library and followed.

Jeffery stood outside the library, admiring the architecture of the imposing structure before opening the door to the seemingly infinite library, Jeffery `s jaw dropped when he rested his eyes upon it as he excitedly looked up and down at the rows upon rows of bookshelves

"screw never leaving my dorm, I`m gonna stay here forever" Jeffery whispered to himself as he disappeared into the rows of books, searching for something good to read.

*tick* ... *tick* ... *tick* ...The therapist looked up from his watch to where Lillith was sat. This girl was annoyingly stubborn. She had refused to look at either ocean or therapist and had chosen to draw in the sand since her last words. Her drawings were surprisingly good for sand-etchings, but that is neither here nor there.

"Where did you go before Poemandres?"

This drew her attention to him. Her gaze was soft on the surface but underneath lay something more... More than she let on. "You don't care."

"I do. Why else would I ask?"

For a moment she looked back to the sand, as if asking its opinion about what she should do. "...Disraeli's College.[footnote]He's obscure and historical. It allows me to make things up. Sue me.[/footnote] I was third year."

"So why did you leave that school?" His questions were short, as therapist's questions often were. To be completely honest he didn't need the questions as much as he seemed to. They just created a connection that he could use. "Was it because of what you are?"

No words. Just a nod.

"Did you want to leave?"

She shook her head solemnly. He could tell that if he pressed on this he would shortly be doing little more than making a girl cry, so he stopped to let her gather her wits again. He was not getting many good answers.

Catalina was utterly lost in a corridor in the heart of the school, she had no map and she wasn't going to risk using her magic again, for fear of a repeat of the incident on the zeppelin. She paused, considering calling out for help but didn't, for fear of making herself look like an idiot and she opened the next door she found and walked through it and found that there was little else in the room other than a chair. She shrugged and sat in the chair. Before she could blink, she was back in her room, next to her very startled roommate, who had shifted into a mouse in the confusion.

I don't feel good about it..

Jeffery briskly walked through shelves upon shelves of books picking up a few titles of interest and shoving them under his arms, he started moving towards the one section he was most interested in, the arcane section, a place where, judging by the volume of information already shown would contain enough information and incantations for him to make another spellbook, possibly two to go along with his current one.

Jeffery followed the signs hanging above as he rounded a corner and saw it, the arcane section it was separated by a small divide of tables and the shelves were decorated with ornate carvings, Jeffery's eyes were fixated upon the bookshelves, his mouth close to salivating over the thought of finding a way to unbind his curse once and for all but a small glint of light shone in the corner of his eye, Jeffery begrudgingly tore his eyes away from the mass of knowledge and turned his head over to the tables seeing something past them, a pedestal with a large book resting on it, Jeffery noticed a familiar design on the front and raised his eyebrow in curiosity, he slowly started walking forward placing the books he already had on a nearby table and approached the pedestal looking over the cover of the book and gripping the edge of the cover.

"oh my god....it can`t be...I did`nt even think this book existed anymore, much less in a readable condition" Jeffery stared at the front cover mouth agape as he ran his hand over the bumps before fiddling with the lock on the side, trying to pry it open.

"I would`nt open that if I were you" a voice announced, Jeffery turned around to see a old man, dressed in blue wizards robes and round rimmed spectacles, his chin covered in a beard of white hair. "the magic in that book is not suitable for a student" he said his voice surprisingly authoritative for someone of his age.

"sir with all due respect, I know what this book can do, that being the main reason I`m opening it and to avoid inflating my ego, I possess more skill in the arcane arts than your average student" Jeffery replied still keeping his eyes on the man whilst trying to open the lock with one hand.

"hmmm perhaps I`m not making this clear, students are forbidden to access that book, seeing as how you just got here I will let you off with a warning but if I see you trying to access it again...there will be consequences" the man said before striding further into the darkness of the library disappearing into the shadows.

"okay...weird" Jeffery said one eyebrow raised still staring in the direction the man walked off in before immediately turning back to the book and trying to pry the lock open, but was suddenly thrown back from the pedestal and onto the ground by a large gust of wind and the man from earlier appearing in front of him.

"what did I just say?" he asked, annoyed that Jeff would simply defy him like that.

"you told me not to open the book or else there would consequences" Jeffery replied rising to his feet unimpressed with the man's entrance.

"good you can at least listen, now leave here and after your first day of classes, report back to my office for your punishment...oh and take your books with you" he said twirling his arm in the air sending the stack of books Jeff had placed on the table flying into him, Jeff barely able to catch them without falling over again.

"understood...so that I may find you, what`s your name sir?"

"professor aldermen...my office is nearby just...follow the sings to get there" professor aldermen replied before disappearing in a cloud of smoke.

"dammit...I will open that book and I will see what`s inside" Jeffery whispered to himself as he started towards the library's exit his vision partially obstructed by the stack of books he was carrying.

If he wasn't going to be able to find out via conventional means, he would have to be forced to use his gift. This girl had to be helped, he knew that much, but he couldn't know how until he understood what was wrong. So his essence slowly reached out, tentatively making its way closer to the Lamia. It enveloped her in its soft embrace and started to seek out her soul:the part of her that made her who she was.[footnote]Everyone knows that's where secrets are kept.[/footnote] And when it found her Lillith-ness, it could not prepare itself for the shock it was about to get.

"You'll gassp and bleed and pant and cry and beg me with your dying breathss to end your long, painful ssuffering... But that'ss no fun, iss it...?"
"I'm going to make you bleed. I am going to make you die, angel."
"No-one can ssave you. You will sserve me and then... your life will be forfeit..."
"I can hear her screams still... I made her say my name as she... Oh God..."
"And she did. I heard all the fear and pain and it hurt me so much but all I could do was grin and enjoy it as my friend tried to coerce me for her own death."

The pain of so many thoughts, so many secrets, cascading into his essence made him recoil and he fell away from the Lamia. What the hell they were, he couldn't know. They'd all hit him at once and he'd been unable to notice enough to understand any of them. In all of them, however, he had seen the girl. Every time she had been covered in blood, her face was... strange. Sometimes she was smiling or laughing and other times she was crying. Whatever he had to do to help her, he would have to start figuring it out soon.

He pushed himself to a sitting position and blinked twice to clear his vision. "Lillith... I think it's time to go back to school."

Sven was browsing the library not entirely sure what he was looking for when he saw a student (at least, Sven figured it was a student) get blown backwards by one of the staff members. As the teacher disappeared and the student left, Sven was tempted to investigate the book they seemed to be so interested in, but figured it wasn't worth potentially earning the teacher's ire as well. Mental note to self: avoid that section. Sven was about ready to resume browsing when he finally noticed something lingering over him. As soon as he looked up, however, whatever it was had already disappeared. Sven decided he'd come back later and made his way out of the library.

Not seeing anything resembling an athletics track - as far as she could tell - Rochelle instead opted for a short flight over the school grounds. She adjusted her satchel to ensure it wouldn't get in the way, and jumped off the roof. She went into a quick spiral to build up speed, then pulled out, extended her wings to their maximum span, and began to glide over the lake and the extensive fields it was a part of.

A sense of peace came over Rochelle as she flew; there was very little up here that could disturb the serenity of the air around her. Once bored of gliding, she performed some aerial acrobatics for a few minutes before she came down to the ground, rolling when she landed to kill her momentum. Wearing a smile as a result of her actions, Rochelle headed back into the school halls, looking for something interesting to do.

Jeffery stepped outside the library, the books he checked out making it difficult to see what was infront of him, he started walking in a random direction unable to see any of the signs in front of him, his ego preventing him from asking for directions, he somehow wandered out into the front of the school building, briefly stopping to get a sense of where he was.

"dammit, how did I even get here?" Jeffery thought to himself scratching his head for a moment, before picking his books back up and setting back out to find the dormitories he was walking for about 5 minutes before bumping into someone,a girl with white wings on her back who looked like she had just landed from a flight, sending the books and both of them to the ground.

Jeffery started rapidly picking up books, wanting to avoid making contact. Jeffery grabbed one final book, the stack for some reason lighter, Jeffery got to his feet and bolted off this time heading in the opposite direction he came, not even remembering that he left his book about mythical biology on the ground at the girls feet.

"If you ever feel like you need to talk, I'll be right here in my office." These were the words that the school's councilor had left her with. Lillith didn't feel all that better from the encounter since all she had been aware of was a few hours of wasted time and a few pictures she had been drawing, but apparently she had done well. He had been peculiarly insistent on the subject of dreams or nightmares before she had left, which worried her slightly, but otherwise the exchange was fairly bland.

Regardless, for the rest of the day she was free. As free as she could possibly be, at least. She felt like she could do with a normal conversation again but she had no idea where everyone was. By now they would have left their rooms and wandered off to do whatever it was they all did during their free time. But she had no idea what they did.

Maybe she could just try to bump into one of them again? It would work better than just waiting for one of them to randomly show up and she might even be able to meet a few others while she was wandering. With this in mind, she decided the easiest place to check would be outside.

Rochelle crashed to the floor, not hard, but enough to disorient her for a few seconds. By the time she had gotten up and dusted herself off, the guy who had ran into her was running away. Confused, Rochelle stared at his rapidly shrinking figure for a few seconds, before noticing that he'd left a book behind in his hurry to escape. She picked it up and flicked to the inside cover, hoping there was a name or something written there.

It turned out there was nothing, so Rochelle hurried after the guy. She didn't think he could run that fast with all his books; catching up to him would be easy enough.

Jeffery started half sprinting and half jogging whilst still holding his books in his hands, wanting to avoid making contact with anyone, his just-above-average physical ability helping but not enough to completely lose the girl, her figure steadily approaching in the distance.

"goddammit, what will it take to lose her?, probably wants to put a curse on me for bumping into her or something...yeah well I know one thing, it`s that if someone wants to curse you either, kill'em or get the hell outta the way" Jeffery said in-between breaths before picking his books back and attempting to escape on foot again.

"Hey, wait up!" Rochelle called out as she picked up the pace a little. Why had the guy run? Was he deathly afraid of angels or something? She smiled at the chances of such a possibility, but increased her speed further as she used her excellent stamina built up from foot racing over the past few years.

If needs be, Rochelle figured she could tire him out by simply letting him run, though that seemed too mean. Perhaps it was best if she caught up sooner rather than later.

Jeffery started feeling the effects of fatigue on his body as he could`nt help but slow down, the girl showing no signs of stopping.

"goddammit, she`s not gonna give up, I think I only have one option" Jeffery thought, his body almost completely exhausted he reached into his jacket and took out his spellbook and flicked to the correct page.

"I really....hate....teleportation" Jeffery said huffing and puffing as he started reading the incantation.

mervosa vider- Jeffery said cut off his own exhaustion not allowing him to finish the spell.

"you know what, screw running never was my forte anyway, if she wants to kill me, she`ll have one helluva fight" Jeffery thought stopping, still trying to catch his breath slightly.

As Rochelle chased after the guy, she noticed that he showed signs of tiring later than most others. Other students moved aside to let the two runners pass by, some with confused looks on their faces, others cheering or jeering at one or the other. The guy began to slow down as he rounded a corner, and Rochelle slowed as well, conserving her energy. She gradually restricted herself from a running speed to a casual walk, reaching the latter as she rounded the corner to meet the guy face to face. He'd been pretty fast, even with the numerous books he had been carrying. Rochelle could feel herself breathing slightly heavier than usual.

"What's with the running, man?" she asked cheerfully before pausing to lean against a wall and restore her breathing to normal. "You really didn't need to run away. Unless you're afraid of me for some reason?" she added with a soft laugh.

"Oh, and you left one of your books behind," she said, holding the book on Mythical Biology out to the stranger.

Jeffery stared at the book in the girl's hand for a few seconds before silently whispering "dammit" to himself, he reached his hand out slowly and took the book from the girl's hand, a little suspicious of it, he flicked through the pages making sure nothing was removed or added.

"thanks, I guess" Jeffery said putting the book on the stack and picking them back up "and I don`t fear angels, infact I`d welcome you if you came to take me up there" Jeffery said trying to point upwards before he started walking away, still lost as to where the dormitories were exactly, but not trying to make that fact obvious.

Rochelle chuckled at the guy's words. Like many others, he was under the illusion that angels came from heaven. They didn't. They were just like many other supernatural races; originating from Earth through some extreme deviation of human genetics, hence the almost-identical anatomy. Most of an angel's bones were lighter and some hollow like birds, to allow the winged beings to fly.

She opened her mouth to continue the conversation, but the guy had already left. "Huh, someone doesn't like talking much," she noted aloud.

Jeffery continued walked away stopping as soon as he realized his mistake about the angel.
"dammit, why did I say that!, I know angels don`t come from heaven, goddamn it I gotta read that book on mythical biology when I get back to the dorm room"

Jeffery continued on his way before realizing that he was still lost, not too keen on wandering around for another half hour he realized he only had one option, to go back and ask the angel for directions he turned around and walked back the way he came hoping she was still there.

Jeffery saw her in the distance still standing where Jeffery had left her, Jeffery approached her, trying to look as mysterious as possible "hey, you would`nt happen to know the way back to the dormitories would you?" Jeffery asked.

Eyebrows raised slightly in a skeptical look at the guy's attempt at being some sort of secretive type, Rochelle answered, "Yeah, they're..." She paused briefly, recalling it from memory. Down the hall behind me, elevator to the third floor, then I look for room 219. Second on the left, I think it is. Maybe third. That was it.

She hesitated briefly, then said, "Y'know, that look really doesn't suit you. Seriously. Here's a deal: you drop the act, and I'll tell you. No offence meant, of course," she quickly added.
