"alright fine, not much of an act really, I just don`t like to talk to people and besides it`s hard to look cool with books in your arms" Jeffery replied letting out a small sigh and setting the books back down stretching his arms out.

"so now that I`ve stopped trying to act mysterious, where are the dormitories?" Jeffery asked still curious as to how to get around this school.

Rochelle smiled briefly before giving the guy the answer. "Down the hall this way - " she gestured behind her with a hand " - take either the elevator or the stairs to the... third floor, I think it is, then just go along the hallway until you find your room number." At least, she thought it was the third floor. It certainly was for the rooms numbered 200-300. Perhaps the 300-400 dorms were on the fourth floor.

She took a couple of steps in the opposite direction, then turned on an impulse and added, "Oh, I should probably introduce myself. I'm Rochelle Novassa. Angel, singer and athlete all rolled into one."

"nice to meet you, Rochelle, thanks for the directions, maybe I`l bump into you again.... well not like that" Jeffery said before picking up his books and looking towards the hallway Rochelle pointed to.

"so...yeah, see you later" Jeffery said walking off down the hall wondering why he did`nt just stop to talk to her in the first place.

"she seemed nice, but then again so do a lot of things before they decide it`s time to tear your face off and eat you" Jeffery thought deciding to take the elevator waiting for the carriage to arrive.

Lillith, like a lot of the students in the school, had just seen two people run past in a blur: One whom she hadn't seen before, books stacked in his arms, and Rochelle.

...the hell?

The Lamia had half a mind to follow after them and see what was actually happening but going that fast was out of the question. Even if she could run she was hardly as athletic as Rochelle. Keeping up with her would be impossible.

Slowly the crowds of students were clearing away and Lillith started slithering after Rochelle and the boy, albeit very slowly. She thought that by the time she could see either of them again she would have missed everything, but asking would at least give her something to do.

Chaz shook his head at Jeffery. Already pissing off an angel? Maybe there is something about you I like. He quickly followed the two but saw that Jeffery had just dropped a book. Well, respect withdrawn. And I'm sure that damn angel had some ulterior motive, anyway. He turned around abruptly and ended up running into a lamia who also seemed to be following Jeffery and the angel.

"I'm so sorry," he said to her. He took a few steps back in case she was about to try and eat him.

"Oh, er, don't worry about it. It was probably my fault. I should of been looking where I was going." She could still see Rochelle. She didn't look like she'd be going anywhere for a while. When she turned her attention back to Chaz she could see him slowly backing away.

"What're you doing?"

"Uh, sorry," he said blushing. "Just making sure you don't eat me. You can never be too sure around this place, can you?" He rubbed the back of his neck and smiled to try and ease any tension that might be present.

"Eat you? How..." She was going to finish with 'did you know', but thankfully swapped it out for something else, "could you even think I'd do that?" She adopted a hurt expression.

"I'm sorry!" He wasn't getting anywhere on good terms with her. "It's just that I know that some people here probably could, and I'm sure some of them are on hair triggers, and-- I didn't mean anything against you personally, really." If this continues, maybe I really will get eaten, he thought. "I'm Chaz," he said, trying to change the subject. "I just got here on the blimp."

"Really? I had to make my own way here. They didn't give me the blimp option." She half-heartedly complained, "Had to make do with a car."

"Oh, I'm Lillith, by the way."

 

[Blasphemous Rex]

"Nice to meet you," he said with a gentleman's bow. It was right about then that he noticed he was hiding his wings again. Aw, shit! If I bring them back, they'll freak her out. Just... Just keep them away and explain it the next time you see her. Just keep focused and they'll stay where they are. He suddenly started to look nervous. Just stay calm, he kept telling himself. Just stay calm.

"Nice to meet you too." She seemed to be oblivious to his nervousness, or she was outright ignoring it. "Say, Chaz. Walking around, you haven't seen a skeleton hanging around with a blond magician, have you? No?" She shook her head slightly, as if to preempt his response.

 

[Blasphemous Rex]

"N-no, I haven't." Jesus, stop being so scared. She's not gonna hurt you, so relax! His inner voice wasn't helping him at all. In fact, it might have even been hurting. "Neither, actually."

[small]"Dammit..."[/small] She'd hoped he had, just so that she could get it out of the way sooner, but she couldn't have expected much since he had just arrived earlier today.

"Well the skeleton's name is Nathan, so if you see him around anywhere can you make sure he knows I need to talk to him? It's really, really important."

 

[Blasphemous Rex]

"Er, yeah, okay. Did something happen, or... You know what, nevermind that. I probably shouldn't have asked." Probably something private, he told himself.

A guy who didn't ask a lot of questions. A blessing for Lillith. It meant fewer lies to tell. "It's not really about what happened so... But yeh, thanks anyway Chaz. When you see him, tell him I'll be in my room. See you in classes." She smiled before she took off in another direction. Hopefully she ended up with one or two classes with him, he seemed like a nice guy.

But hopefully before all that she could clear up the mess she'd made with Nathan.

"Stupid wings," he muttered to himself as Lillith walked off and as he brought them back out. I really hope you don't go back again, for the sake of me not mutilating myself!

Catalina walked along, completely lost in internal dialogue. After she had appollogized profusely to her roomate, she took off, in desperate need of some sort of intruction. As she walked along, she ran into a wing, she looked up, about to shout something vulgar to the owner of the wing, until she saw that the wing was Chaz's. She pounced him, knocking him over and hugging him, "Chaz! I've never been so happy to see someone in my life!"

Rochelle was a little disappointed that the guy had left without telling her his name, but quickly dismissed the thought. Doubtless he would eventually tell her, perhaps if the two met again. She started walking back the way she had chased the guy, and saw Lillith walking - or rather, slithering - away from a couple of strangers. Rochelle hurried over to join her.

"Hey, Lilli. How's it going?" she asked, giving the Lamia a one-armed hug in greeting. "Who were these guys? Friends of yours?"
