It would be a lot easier for me to like this game if it didn't pretend to be even remotely connected to that game in any way. I don't get people complaining that it's "too silly, needs more serious". We've already GOT a GTA. Between GTA, later Saints Row and Just Cause, we finally have the entire range of third-person shooter sandbox more or less covered.
EDIT: I accidentally my brain.
Game Two: Gang drama with an immature sense of humor
Game Three: Gang comedy with an immature sense of humor and no sense of realism
Game Four: Gang comedy with an immature sense of humor, no sense of realism, and a keen eye for the legendarily stupid
It seems consistent to me, just on a slope rather than a flat plane. And really, Why buy a game if it's more or less the same as the last one?
