Still, she has a masters degree in Political Science. I can't blame her being a politician dealing with many issues at once, to confuse South and North Korea. Thou its kinda weird how much money she has, power, and fame and yet people still talk down to her, just cause shes a Republican, seriously any other party people would be praising her.
really to confuse south and north? there different countries and it's not that hard to remember north korea is not our ally

Well played, sir.

Okay, I'm hardly the biggest fan of Sarah Palin. I actually once wrote and performed a song and made a music video to go with it for the express purpose of making fun of her. But even I didn't think she was this stupid.

I accept that she's stupid but can't anyone whine about more concretely stupid things she's done than saying the wrong words? same goes for bush

I would have said it was just a scatterbrained slip up moment but her tone was weird after Glenn Beck corrected her, I don't think she actually knew. In fact I don't think she knows where Korea is.

The stunning intellect of Bush followed by brilliance of Palin makes me shudder to think that the next candidate could actually set the bar lower in a couple years.

I don't see how you can make up an justified excuse for this. Sure we are all humans but someone who is running/plans to become president of a country born on Capitalism should at least know where their friggin' Communism counterparts are.

Seriously, it seems geography classes in USA suck, generalization and assumption of course. ;)
Off track but, Yeah they do.I know cause I'm there. It's like a recent test showing that atheists know more about religion than religious folk.
Is that counting on one specific religion, or just religion in general. If it's the later, I could kinda see that. Kinda.
The latter surpisingly.

Sadly geography classes in the US DO suck, as at times in some schools they aren't even taught at all to begin with. It ends up being lumped in with a general history course.
That's really bad and embarressing, I can't say much to it.

Really? I am Muslim myself and I am curious to this test/survey, can you link me please?
I read about it in The Rolling Stones so maybe it's false?

I bet that Sarah Palin doesn't even know the meaning of half of those big words she's using, but knowing us we'll probably vote her in then complain when things go to hell, like WTF? How did this happen, I completely didn't see this coming!

I am dyslexic, one issue I have is saying right when I mean left. I do the same with directions as well. Most of the time I don't even notice I did it to correct myself, someone else does. Who know how many times I have slipped like that and nobody bothered to correct me. It doesn't make me an idiot in the slightest. Hell I might have even said North Korea at some point meaning South Korea myself.

There are far worse things she has done and supported to berate her as a candidate for it's makes people seem petty and cruel to play a slip of the tongue so heavy handedly. It's makes one look like an ass to assume a slip of the tongue of one person means the entire US sucks at geography.

No it's not the best thing to do politically, but it's a far cry from a slip of the tongue to the picture everyone seems to be painting here based only on that.

well let's see how could a normal human being make a mistake? Hmm oh I know maybe by being human! Seriously shes not perfect, and making a single mistake does not constitute a verbal smacking Sure she's an idiot but making a misake does not make someone an idiot but it does make them human.

If it were just this one mistake I wouldn't say anything. But you get this sort of thing from her on an almost weekly basis, and that's not normal anymore, especially not for politicians who need to be careful about what they say and actually know what they're talking about.

I'll laugh so hard if she becomes the next president of the USA, and after that laugh I'll pray that my country immediately gets out of NATO so that we don't get into any wars caused by her incredible political skill.
well this mistake that she made was a brief slip of the tongue, that is fine and dandy that she actually has done some incredibly stupid things but make fun of those real life stupid mistakes because this is just bashing

Once again, these people bear certain responsibility and are required to be on the egde of their seat at all times, minor blunders in our daily lives are multiplied in magnitude for them.

For the geography statement, I spoke and met countless of U.S. residents who don't have any basic grasp of geography, people admit it they cannot point out several continents to me. I am not here to belittle you folks but apparently I should belittle your education system regarding this subject. I am not saying it's fact but so far, I percieve it as downright horrible.
That is a little thing called confirmation bias. Its like one of those street walking episodes, where they ask questions and play back the stupid answers.

You are out looking for stupid answers. Ask a hundred people and get five stupid answers and that is all you remember those five, not the 95 other people who gave perfectly respectable answers. Just as on the show they may spend an entire day out asking questions and record enough material for a 2 minute long segment with the same three people looking dumbfounded at the questions. I have seen the same shows from London, Paris, Berlin, and many other major cities around Europe. Am I to believe the entirety of Europe acts exactly the same way?

Here it is again in basic terms: You set out looking for answers you already had, is it any wonder you found them?

Oh and countless isn't a number. Countless is a concept. You use it there to denote a number beyond reasoning. It's not a good habit to get into at all when writing. It's a trick people use to substitute an opinion as through it is fact when writing. Still I am guilty of it myself from time to time.

Well I now understand that it was a joke based on something you don't really know anything about, just nex t time be careful with equating a well spoken, insightful and effective president with a shithead Alaskan with almost no political experience.

Ugh. I hate it when politicians make gaffes because critics latch onto those insignificant mistakes, instead of more substantial issues. There's literally a ton of actual ideas, beliefs, and policy issues people can debate, but no, they all choose to focus on a fucking gaffe. You know what what are more substantial issues people can attack her on? In the same interview, Palin supports racial profiling in airports, attacks the 60s-70s feminist movements for holding back women, deliberately twisting their ideals, and provides an implausible, antagonistic response to the North Korea situation. Let's at least try to add more meaning to political discourse, instead of making the shit pile higher.
shit son you just won one internet.
I fully agree and want to shake your hand. *Internet high-five!*

People talk down to her because she's a moron. I recognize the fact that there are many smart Republicans, but Palin isn't one of them. I understand your argument about getting mixed up because of all she has to deal with, but would we really want some one who does it as often as she does in charge?
OT: Palin can have all the money, power, etc. in the world, but she'll always be an idiot.
