Like this one time, I was talking to a guy who was telling me about how when the PS3s and Wiis first came out and how hard it was to get one, the reason for that is because managers can hold anything they want in the store.

So if you have, say, 3 Wiis in stock for the rest of the week and some ***** manager decides to hold all 3 of them (this is actually what he told me) for herself, her husband and her son, they're out until they get more in, but he said that went on for months after the launch. Every week she'd hold them for someone else and lockdown the only one's the had in stock.

So, that's why it was so difficult to get a wii or PS3 when they first came out because managers would hold every last system.

That too is disgusting. I don't understand how Gamestop is still a reputable business. I guess they make their money by ripping off people who don't know any better, like mothers buying games for their children.

As much as I hate them, I still shop there, because it's the only place I know of that sells games from anything but the current gen. If this wasn't the case, I'd have boycotted them a long time ago.

Mine is fucking awesome, I only live 1 and a half miles from it. The manager there fucking loves me so I get a special discount (yes I am bragging) plus my edge card. So I have nothing bad to say about my GameStop.

Oh and I have never played a MGS game so I wouldn't know. All I know is that the cut scenes are really long and some of my friends consider MGS 4 a movie.

THe people who work at most of the gamestops around here are pretty cool.
I mostly use them for new games only though, since there's a bad ass local game store that stocks every generation, and a new, or atleast relatively, copy of Silent Hill 2 there cost me $7, while a used at Gamestop cost $14. Once in a blue moon a PS2 game might cost a bit more, but for Christ's sake, atleast they always have the covers and instruction booklets. My big thing on buying used games.

Darksiders just friggin came out though. You paid $60 for it. Here, I could get 100% completion in the game, and trade it in at a store called Entertainmart a month after release for $45. Whereas by then, I guarantee Gamestop will be paying a maximum of $30 for it. THey are greedy, cheap bastards with a rather poor selection of older games.

Actually, the GameStop I go to lowered it's prices, so now new games are 55$ - my edge card - my "my manager loves me" discount= 50$
