The chase sequences in Amnesia.

Gee, I totally missed the point didn't I? ;)

Fine: Gloria's Theatre in Psychonauts.

Already been said, but what brainiac in Cerberus decided that the person who had the least amount of responsibility on the Normandy, and therefore should be responsible for scanning every square inch of various planets looking for minerals, was Shepard?

The flood levels in halo, i am surprised no-one else has mentioned this. They were just so awful.

The Proving Grounds in BioShock. Although it was better than most escort missions because the Little Sister was replaceable.

The cutscene in Golden Sun right after you get back from Sol Sanctum. The really long one where there is no dialogue, just a few people moving around a room and occasionally jumping up and down.

Whenever crack soldiers turn up on Evil Genius

I mean, seriously - screw those guys. Attacking people on sight with assault weaponary and then treating any self-defence-based-retaliation as EVIDENCE OF WRONGDOING.

If I came up to you in the street and stabbed you, if you punched me I'd probably lose my "indecent assault" charge against you in the courts, right? Apparantly it dosen't work like that higher up - attack a legitimate hotel chain which you suspect of criminal dealings and then blaming the HOTEL when its security detail fires back? YOU JUST ASSAULTED ME WITH VERY BIG GUNS - I think I have the right to retaliate feebly with a few handguns

Admittedly, once they start shoooting up the place I DO break out some serious ordanance and attempt to massacre them, but I don't think pre-empting a shady-but-legitimate having smuggled and trained in the use of heavy weaponary up to and including rifles and flamethrowers is much of a real excuse for going to WAR.

The on-foot sections of Front Mission Evolved. Luckily there were only like two but still...
You really didn't like them? I thought they fit in the game real well. I always hate it in anime/manga/JRPG's when the 'hot thing' in the series (Duel Monsters in YuGiOh, Beyblades, Custom Robo) is how everyone seems to settle their differences. There will always be a need for manpower to capture objectives. I agree, however, on how powerful your rocket launcher was, though. I usually killed Wanzers with 3-4 rockets, which made me go all ":/".

At the end of MGS3, when you have to take care of EVA-

Sorry, I realized I liked that part of the game as well. Sorry, still nothing at all wrong with Metal Gear Solid 3. xD

The Fade from Dragon Age Origins.

That might have been one of my least favourite moments in a Bioware RPG period.

The first 932876 hours of Mass Effect. I hate the dizzying maze that is the citadel.
Oh and the mission in Grand Theft Auto 3 called "Grand Theft Auto." If you've played it, you'll get why.

Right near the end of Alan Wake before you start shooting tornadoes it just became an action game and seemingly forgot its terrific atmosphere. Just wanderin' through ghost towns shootin' darkness-zombies. Honestly, the only bit of dialogue for twenty minutes was "I needed to turn on the generator". And those bloody generators; it's the only game I know where you have to switch on the checkpoints. Excellent game outwith that.

The Purple Coin Challenge in the disappearing platform galaxy in Mario Galaxy 2, I can't beat it.
Silent Hill Shattered Memories when you have to get pictures from around the Ice Apocalypse version of the school.
The Chef Antione fight in Dead Rising 2, he keeps healing and hitting me with a homing frying pan.

Oh god yes, especially, the second hold-out sequence was really irritating (where I got truly stuck on the PS3 version). Everything else was quite fun however.

vehicle sections in half-life 2, they sucked and are beyond redemption
They're a real strange thing aren't they. Some people like them, others despise them completely. I really liked driving around at speed.

I am exceedingly tired of the opening of Mass Effect 2 and the fact that I can't just skip it when I want to start a new character. If the game has been completed previously I wish it would give me the option to just start the game waking up on the table.

I already know what happens to the Normandy, this is the seventh character I plan to play through the game with!

All missions when you aren't in control of Sly in the Sly Cooper games. In the third game you have a bunch of characters, but what I hate specifically is the hacking mini games, the RC mini games... Well, all mini games. And Bentley.
Some of them are fun, but what I hate about the mini games is that they are often timed. I can stand timed events in games(though I do not like them to begin with), but those in Sly are often made so that if you slip up just once you'll fail hard. You get like 2 seconds extra time!

Also got a deep hatred for The Fade-part in Dragon Age: Origins, as Polaris19 had already pointed out. The first time it was confusing, boring and seemed to last for ages. Believe I even had to read a guide just to understand what was going on so I could get out of there faster.

You're probably the only person who would choose Gloria's Theatre from that game. Meat Circus!

Gloria's Theatre was quite annoying, though. If I recall, I ran around a lot with no idea how to end the level until I had to look it up.

I'm a perfectionist, and found running around a happy and sad version of the same life story to be tedious. I loved the Meat Circus! It was so - meaty! And FUBAR!
