Quite a few segments in Jedi Outcast infuriate me:

Key puzzles. Why the hell do I need a key to open a door when I have a lightsaber? can't I just slice through the door and move on?

The snipers on Nar Shaada. They have eagle vision, can one-shot you, and their disruptor shots CAN'T BE BLOCKED BY YOUR LIGHTSABER.

Jump puzzles with insta-kill punishment for mistakes. I'm sick of these things, where the slightest mishap sends you plummeting down a bottomless pit.

Finally, the forced stealth segment on the Doomgiver. After smashing through legions of Stormtroopers, bounty hunters and Reborn (not to mention all the enemies he's killed in previous games), Kyle suddenly turns into a pansy and says some bullshit about there being "too many" Imperials to take in a fight? He's a pretty powerful Jedi by now, there's no reason for this. There's very little margin for error, and if you're caught it's an automatic failure.

Just let me kill things with my lightsaber, dammit!

Penumbra: Blowing up the cave, it makes no freaking sense. I have to find a piece of rope, then find a bottle of Baxitrin, move a dynamite barrel into a perfect position, find gun powder, put the rope in the Baxitrin then roll it in the gun powder and finally put it in the explosive barrel, find a lighter, find lighter fluid, light the rope in the explosive barrel and sprint away, after all this it blows up a small hole in the cave and I'm supposed to expect to be able to crawl through it for over 50 meters and to another place without any ramifications? Also I would like to mention all of what i just listed takes place over a large cave area where a large, evil dog tries to kill you, it also literally takes 20 smacks to the body with a hammer to kill the dog. If you decide to kill the dog you better do it at the right time or another one instantly spawns later in the level and tries to kill you.

Yea, this pissed me off insanely.

It's been said, but The Fade from Dragon Age: Origins. Because ohmigod, it's so retarded.

The fight against Kessler in inFamous. Because why is his health bar ten 'effing miles long?

The beginning of the fight against the final colossus in Shadow of the Colossus (the first time I did it). Because I tried to run and avoid the fireballs for a solid half-hour before I realized that there was a tunnel around behind him to protect you.

I'm sure there are others. I'll be back.

I still haven't finished Devil May Cry 4 because the level where you have to punch the time-distorting thing and jump over and under the lasers in that hallway pisses me off - to - no - END!! It sucked bad enough when I had to do it as Nero, and then they make me do it again as Dante! And with a time limit!! Screw you, game!!

Lego Star Wars, playing as Yoda...goddamn, but that little guy is a pain to navigate. He's slow as hell when he walks with his staff, he's faster when he's got his light sabre out, but when he fights, he leaps all over the goddamn place and I've accidentally fallen off of ledges countless times because of his hopping all over the bloody platform! Dammit, Yoda, you just *look* like a frog, you don't have to act like one, just use the damn light sabre properly!!

Do you mean the regenerators? one of them latched onto and almost killed me once, scared the shit out of me. I never let one get near me during later playthroughs. But seriously i didn't think there was any bad sections in that game, it was all brilliant.

We Love Katamari. Cowbear level.

A sign is not a cow.
A statue is not a bear.
A carton of milk is not a cow.
STOPPIT!

Also, every water level in both Super Mario Galaxy games.

Hoo boy where do we start?

Batman Arkham Asylum, I love the game, hate Killer Croc's stage, if you've played it, you'll know how annoying it is

Vault 22 in Fallout New Vegas, scratch that, ANY vault in any fallout game, ever ,but 22 especially

Killzone 2, the ATAC fight, words cant describe the rage, a single pillar to protect from what is essentially a flying tank???

Adopting little sisters in Bioshock 2, I just dread these moments, I want to be a good guy, for my first playthrough at least, little sisters are just too cute for me to kill :\

Most RPG's are generally a pain to restart as well since theres usually a lengthy tutorial

And lastly, bosses in fighting games, I want the final boss to be a challenge, not a chore. In Tekken 6, i can understand NANCY being incredibly hard, but thats because shes optional. Azazel on the other hand is hard being imagining, not because hes challenging, but because he's so fucking cheap, its a bad idea in fighting games to make a character invulnerable to attacks, sure maybe if he has a move like Jins where he charges for a brief moment of invulnerability, but i can never tell when my attacks will do any damage or not

/end rant
The games i listed are some of my favourite games ive ever played, but they all have impossible moments

The Fade. It's what's stopping me from a third playthrough.
if you get it out of the way first you have the rest of the game to look forward to, believe me its such a huge relief

The on-rails shooter sections of KOTOR, Jade Empire, and Call of Duty were annoying as all hell. Real fly in the ointment. Luckily, in Jade Empire you didn't have to score high to pass.

In Vice City and San Andreas, the flying sections. I never actually figured out how to fly planes in that game, even though I do just fine in others like the Battlefield series. That Vice City mission where you have to dump porno posters all over the city made me rage-quit and uninstall the game. Same with that airplane field you buy in San Andreas. Never finished either game for that reason.

Also, I like the Fade but absolutely hated the Orzammar sections. Mild claustrophobia showing?

I started off absolutely hating the speeder-bike section of Jedi Academy, but came to love it after around 30 goes when I started understanding the controls better.

And, obviously, the Mako in ME and the scanning in ME2.

every game with a forced vehicle section that doesn't control like the rest of the time.

so off the top of my head, crysis helicopter mission, CoD:BO boat mission (heli one seemed to be pretty smooth so didn't mind), CoD:WaW tank mission, Resi5 mission where you shoot off the back of the truck etc etc, you get my point xD

Someone's probably already said it, but the driving sections in Mass Effect.

Ughh. Absolutely halted my second playthrough :/

Oh god yes, especially, the second hold-out sequence was really irritating (where I got truly stuck on the PS3 version). Everything else was quite fun however.
On the PC this was my favourite part of the game, I would play that hold-out section over and over because it was so much fun. I guess it would be harder on a console with a controller though.

Thankfully though its a very short game. Saving grace :)

The grind gap in pokemon soul silver ( and probably other's too) Right after you beat all the gyms but aren't strong enough to re-do the elite 4 or take on Red.

Keeping an HM slave around in almost every Pokemon game. It wouldn't be so bad if *good* pokemon made good HM slaves...BUT NO. Bibarel and Raticate, I hate you both so much...

The Deep Roads in DO:A, just fuck that. It lasted forever. I have nightmares about slogging through that hell hole, waist high in Darkspawn corpses and stuck in spiderwebs.
Odd, I liked the Deep Roads. They did last forever, so I had to go back a couple of times to sell my loot before I came to the point where you find someone who'll buy your stuff, but I loved the atmosphere of the place and the battles between the giant spiders and the Darkspawn were a lot of fun.

The bad part to me is that HM attacks suck so giving them to good pokemon is a colossal waste. With the exception of fly and surfer.

I swear, I'm the only one who likes both the Fade in DA:O and the Citadel in ME1.

For me, it'd be that damn "flying a missile to the island" part in Bayonetta. FUCK THAT SHIT. It shouldn't take that long for a missile to fly to the middle of a lake, ffs.

The Darkness - The Hell/WWI sections were a bit boring for me, since I would much rather be eating thugs on the streets. xD

Dead Rising 2 - any boss battle, since not only they are hard and cheap(the worst kind of hard), they are totally not the reason why I play that game in the first place.
