What are you talking about? They started at colors than moved onto gems and precious metals, not elements. The next will probably be...[sub]what's another gemstone?[/sub] Topaz or Amethyst.

Pokemon Unobtainium.
Just for the reaction it would no doubt provoke.
Ah, somebody beat me to the punch! That figures.

You missed the possibility for the followup joke, though. The catchphrase for the series is, "You can't obtainium all."

Pokemon Adimantium and Kryptonite
That sounds good right there xD

Although to keep things on a strictly Marvel page: Pokemon Adamantium and Pokemon Vibranium!!

How about Pokemon Shadow and Pokemon Light? I'm surprised those haven't been released yet.

I have a theory.

It could just be a case of our insistent nostalgia about the series and how great is was then. We only remember the highlights being with the original games, so when the game is changed in the slightest, we think of it as bad/worse, simply due to the fact it isn't what our fondest childhood memories (read: nostalgia) had. I think this can tie in with the whole game industry. We start to hate some of the new concepts coming out (Wii 'family' games and fitness games come to mind) simply due to the fact that it is alien and different to what we cherished as younger people (not necessarily children).

Pokemon Camo: the first in the series to supply everyone's favorite creatures with military grade equipment.

Pokemon...COD?

Snorlax airstrikes would be fun though.

Yeah, that, too.

odds are when they start to run out of names, they'll focus on spin-offs like Ranger and Mystery dungeon more *shudders*
Dear God no... That would doom humanity!
Although, if done right, another pokemon snap wouldnt go astray

Would it be possible to take photos without a Pokemon in them?

Pokemon Francium.

Put a gram of Francium in water, and voila! Your epic bomb is complete.

I got the Fire Red (remake of Red) and enjoy the heck out of it. I'm probably going to get Soul Silver just because I had bought Silver for me, and Gold for my friend back in the day, they BOTH got stolen after just one gym. So I'm gonna play it somehow dammit.

The Pokemon series died at Yellow.

Only Red and Blue are the true Pokemon!
Actually, after Silver and Gold (and Crystal mabey) I think it truely started going off the deep end. I say that because Silver and Gold had a reasonable addition to the original Red and Blue. Not only did it improve upon what the originals started, but it gave us a lot of new and fun ideas. Which is a wonder why they dropped all of that when Ruby and Sapphire came out. They took out the radio which was not only fun music but entertaining, the phone to call people for rematches (though they replaced it with the vs. seeker), you could just buy the special pokeballs instead of having to collect them, plus the tree systems kinda shook it up. And worst of all, they made it one region.

I think what made Silver and Gold a good follow up to the originals was that not only did it give us a new region, but it also gave us the older region. Those new to the series had a new adventure to stake out and those who played Red and Blue got to traverse our old stomping grounds.
