@Berenzen: Yeah, that would work too. I just wanted to avoid the Arbiter getting two shots in one round. That would be too cheap.

Still, that's something that can be decided later if this idea gets enough support. :)

@Link: I don't think it'd hurt to try it next round. I want to see what happens first but right now, it looks swell.

@staika: You found me out... I do live in the future. 13 hours into your future. And that's why I know our cat-sunglasses WILL work.

@Link: Interesting role. I can imagine the stories churned out from this new role.

@Link: I'm on board with it, I like the idea.

@schizzy: Excellent, now hurry tell me the winning lottery numbers. We can become increasingly rich with this scheme.

@Link: I like it, but it will mean people have to be more careful about what they tell people who are already dead. =P

@Link: I don't think this was mentioned. If a Priest dies resurrecting someone, can a Medic bring him back?

@RaN: Well, no. I don't think the Medic can really do anything more than block the Killer from their target. I doubt a divine suicide would be covered on their healthcare plan. :p

After reading this, I truly realize how horrible it is. But...as the GM, I can't let the emotions get to me. The show must go on!

SkyeNeko was the latest victim!

Wow, 2 murders in one day? A nice change from the usual: wait 3 days for the execution...

@Link: Just run the power limitation that the Arbiter can only use their power once per round, no need to outlaw the Arbiter being resurrected if they can only blow their gob once.
The Arbiter is only allowed to use their power within the first five rounds anyway, or until the Spy asks their third question. When the Spy does ask #3, the Arbiter is immediately notified before the Spy's question is answered.

Resurrecting the Arbiter would only be viable if they died within the first few cycles, such as what happened in this round.

@Link: That's fine. Just wanted to clear that up.

@CA: That's a good point, but I'm not sure if it's what he was meaning.

Let's say that the Arbiter gets a note from the Spy in round three and decides to spring into action immediately. Under Berenzen's idea, the Priest would be able to bring the Arbiter back to life but the Arbiter would be unable to kill another player until round four.

It's an idea, but I think it's worth examining to see if it's still overpowered for the Arbiter to get two kills, even with that restriction.

You are right though. If the Arbiter initially acted in round five before the Spy asked their question, then there would be little reason for the Priest to resurrect them since the Arbiter would have lost the power in round six anyway.

I think that the Arbiter being allowed two kills is overpowered, no matter what way you word it. Many people think the Arbiter is OP as it is...

@CA: Quite frankly, I agree. The Arbiter is already a game changer in its current state. Being able to circumvent the crowd and pick a target independently for an instakill is already amazing as it stands. Letting them do it twice would downright dangerous.

Berenzen's idea was one I hadn't considered before. It's an interesting thought for sure and adds an extra layer of synergy. But it's something that could be abused so easily since the Arbiter is already so powerful.

Still, I would like to hear other takes on it. I have a feeling that a good number of players would agree with our position, but you never know. They might surprise us. :p

@Pm0: Oh, quick thing. You might want to check the roster on the first page. You have Neo listed as the fourth murdered when he was actually the fourth executed. The fourth person murdered was GameBrother1337. XP

There's another reason. The Arbiter can't be able to take out an odd number of people, since there needs to be an even number of people out in every round. The Arbiter coming back and getting a kill would wreck that balance and thus the Killer would not actually be able to properly win the game.

@Neo: I'm not sure if that's right. Let's take a situation where there are 10 people left.

The Arbiter Suicide Kills. Two people die. We are now at eight.

The Priest Resurrects the Arbiter. One dies, one comes back. We are still at eight.

The Killer Strikes and the Mob Lynches. We are now at six.

The Arbiter Suicide Kills Again. We are now at four.

Correct me if my math is wrong on that calculation. Still, that technique takes four people out of the game. That is waaaaaay powerful. >.<
