As one life enters this world, another must depart. - Juxtapose Matt, Doomsday Arcade Episode 25
The above phrasing could not be more wrong... for as the Priest gave his life in exchange for that of one he believed to be one of the two Medics, a third person observed the scene.
Two graves in the Murderville Cemetery were disturbed that night. Into one fell the dying Priest, and out of the other rose the grubby form of Atticus. Digging through six feet of earth tends to leave some on your person.
No sooner had the man stepped clear of his former prison than a flash of silver caught his eye and a blade entered his throat. The metal carved straight through Atticus's neck, severing the head from its shoulders. The headless corpse fell back down into the loose, recently turned earth of its own grave: the killer caught the head by its hair before it could follow suit.
The decapitator used the head to wipe their sword clean of blood, before throwing the ghastly dripping thing after the rest of its body. They left the blade at the scene, completely clear of any trace that could lead it to its owner. It mattered little: the killer knew they wold not discover Atticus's freshly re-dead body until they had buried their own victim later that week.
