Long term console and PC gamers develop a heightened sense of competitively
I must disagree with you there. I find that in the long term, people who have seen through at least two of the console generations (myself- PS1, PS2 AND PS3) will happily acknowledge that
1. Graphics<Gameplay.
that's your opinion though i agree with it
2. All games are not created equal.
no brainer, I agree there aswell
3. These bastard developers are just out to gouge us.
That's what I said
4. Just because a game is not on the console you own does not make it godawful. I do not own either Gears of War or HALO 3, and yet I can still acknowledge them to be quite the multiplayer experience. Likewise, my 360-owning friends still love a good round or two of 'Splitters 2, Company of Heroes and will happily acknowledge Metal Gear Solid 3 to have the coolest ethos around.
Um, well you quoted me saying that 'gamers are competitive" [sic] and then didn't really explain why you quoted that area. Anyways I put some comments in the quote
Now, I should clarify my post i admit it: People who play multilayer console and PC games, most notably people who play console games online (xbox live) tend to develop a heightened sense of competitively.
I played WoW, I played halo on the xbox, played the 360 online, I played N64 (yeah I've gone through as many generations as you plus the mega drive) etc. And I can say this with great certainty: half of that friend's blind devotion to the 360 was because his brain thought he was in some xbox chat channel again, trying to prove a point. And when you're online trying to prove a point then you're not being very smart about it (because all the other person knows for sure is how your voice sounds) you're just being blindly devoted to your cause.
Hell, this post is a great example. First you decided to argue with me, then you gave points that were unrelated to my argument (I quote me: "And when you're online trying to prove a point then you're not being very smart about it") and then i was stupid enough to reply, and be equally rude and unthinking.
Forgive me, dude.
Anyway, that's my opinion, I hold it to myself and don't want to spread it to others. Therefore, if u think it's wrong well,
urprobablyright
there's also the chance that everything after "I must disagree with you there" was not in response to my statement. If that's the case, then again,
forgive me
