I have a confession to make. It may come as no surprise to you, seeing as I'm a machine clothed in human flesh sent back by Skynet an otaku talking on message boards, but I haven't had sex yet. I've barely been in any relationships at all.
Thus, no matter how complex or intricate my opinions are....they're fundamentally flawed. It's like an experiment, if you don't do any testing, you'll get no results and even if you do they won't matter. I can't weigh in definitively on either side without getting up on my high horse and I can't very well go out and hire a prostitute because I actually value my virginity and I'm saving it for a special occasion, just like that shotgun I keep under my pillow.
That said, let me wrap this up in bullet point form, giving my views in a nutshell-
1. Sex is good and sex is natural. Without it our species would have died out long ago. You cannot deny this. You cannot deny this. Maybe that it's good, but not that it's natural. The only shame in it is the shame you've attached to it.
2. I have nothing against gays/lesbians, no grand argument defending them, nor a roaring rant of revenge denouncing them. No feelings either way. I think it's their right to practice whatever sexual practices they want. Judging them based on their sexual practices is like becoming prejudiced against one of your friends just because they like whips a little too much.
3. Casual sex. It's fine by me as long as it's done correctly, which means as much protection as is feasible. That's all.
4. For me, nothing's more important than finding someone who thinks on the same level as me, as I've stated several times, a partner that I could share a meaningful relationship with if not a lifetime commitment, so yes, sex might be an important part of that potential relationship, BUT, only if it's something the relationship leads to naturally, and like I said, as much protection as is feasible.
5. Quit bashing people who don't share your views. I've seen too much of this in this thread alone. Yes, you're entitled to your opinion and so is he. And so am I, now that I think of it. Doesn't make anyone inherently right are wrong. Almost all arguments have some form of merit, so either respond intelligently and without venom, or just get out. We don't need bashing here.
And that's the Word.
