He paused a moment, looking the both of them over then bowed in return. "Thank you very much. All three of you. I hope that we can learn to get along the rest of this term."

With that he sat back down with a sigh, happy to have made his point, but somehow unsettled. He hoped the class would start again soon.

Kojiro grabbed Junsui's note book and walked over to her desk. He didn't bother to respond to the 'Truce' statement. He knew it was a lie. But it was a lie they would uphold until after they were done cleaning this afternoon.

"Sorry about all that yelling..." He placed the notebook on his desk and looked back over at Isoroku taunting Yamada. He sighed and looked back at the girl, "Look, Junsui, about those things Isoroku and I said...I don't think you're crazy. I know its tough being new at this school, and everyone here has a strong personality....um...I'll talk to Isoroku about it, but I'm sure he won't mind if you hang out with us from time to time, ok?" He gave her a half smile.

"Sorry for dragging you into my fight."

She looked up at him despite how nervous it made her. "It's ok, I understand. Um thank you for your offer, I think I um might take you up on it." she weakly smiled at him and hoped he didn't notice her red her face was.

Kojiro flopped back into his seat. He was tired, this lunch had worn him out. He didn't even notice Junsui blushing. He put his head down on his desk and waited for class to start. Indeed this day was quite long.

Hikaru accompanied the Student Council president through the senior homerooms and followed him back to their own to await the end of the lunch period. Her face was blank, and colorless.

"Mori-sama," she said after they'd sat back down, "I will supervise the juniors while they clean this afternoon, if you like. It's better not to let the exchange student out of your sight, isn't it?"

Takuya looked up at Seiya, he considered her suggestion for a moment. Was it better or worse? Did he dislike Firdmund more than he disliked Ishikawa? Whom did he want to torture the most.

"You're right Hikaru. You shall supervise the juniors, I will watch after the exchange student. An excellent idea."

"Rough lunch period for you," Isoroku remarked as Ishikawa returned. "And I could have done without that last part. Don't worry-- it's nearly over."

What Hikaru gave him then was a mixture of nod and bow. She fetched out her books and notes to prepare for the second half of the school day.

-------

You dwell in tense silence for the remaining few minutes of lunch break, feeling oddly relieved when the bell finally rings. The next instructor arrives and the lessons start again. It's difficult to focus on your studies as you review Mori's lectures in your mind. For most of you, the promise of rigorous scrubbing is already making you exhausted. You watch the hands of the clock drift forward and grimace when the last period comes to an end.

The school day is over.

Kojiro sighed as the day came to an end. There was no point in leaving the room yet, he was sure Mori was on his way tell him and Kumiko where to start cleaning. he packed up his things and stood up.

"I'll see you later Isoroku," He said with a nod as the other student got ready to leave.

---

When the bell rang, Takuya stood up and packed his things. He didn't have much to pack as he never took notes. He was looking forward to 'getting to know' Fridmund some more. He stood next to his desk and waited for Seiya. Even if she was supervising Ishikawa and Mizushima he still wanted to go with her to let them know she was in charge.

What could only be described as a wet, strangling noise came from the back of Kumiko's throat as the bell sounded throughout the classroom. There was never a time when she really had to clean. A few bits of things to pick up here and there, but nothing as big as an entire floor's worth of bathrooms. She wanted to take comfort in someone being there to help her, but as that person was Kojiro she just felt increasingly irritated.

She stripped herself of her blazer and placed it folded on her desk. Rolling up her sleeves she walked to Kojiro and made an awkward attempt to smile at him. "Let's get this over with shall we?"

-----

The normally pep filled Akinari was feeling a bit down. And how could he not? He couldn't help but feel he was mostly responsible for Eber having to clean the entire first year's floor and wasn't even allowed to help. He frowned, his cheeks puffing again as he pouted in a somehow thoughtful manner.

'If I can't help clean, maybe I can just...stick around?'

Kojiro nodded to Kumiko. "Look I'm not sure how he wants us to do this," He took off his own jacket and laid it across his chair, "But if you handle the light stuff, I can get the scrubbing done quickly." He rolled up his sleeves. As he did he took a good look at Kumiko's perfectly manicured hands. Indeed, this girl was not going to be useful for an intense mess. But that was alright. He could handle cleaning up the rooms. he had to clean up after four younger siblings and his ailing Grandmother. Cleaning up after a bunch of snobby kids who hate making a mess any way was going to be a piece of cake.

Hikaru stood up, already prepared. "I'm ready."

She followed him out and down the stairs for the second time that day.

------

Eber chuckled at him, elbows propped up on the smaller boy's desk, "Do not bother. That would be a waste of time for both of us, and you've got lunch to prepare for tomorrow." He stood up once the other students had filtered out and took off his blazer and tie, rolling up his sleeves. "You may wait in the common room at the dorms, if you like. It is not as though I'll be gone all night."

Rin gathered her things as she prepared to leave. She smiled slightly, as she was finally feeling better than she had at lunch. As she stood up from her desk and pushed her chair in, she noticed Ishikawa was still around.

She carefully approached him. Rin wanted to make an effort, to appear normal since he seemed willing to give her a chance. "Um Ishikawa, I hope cleaning goes quickly for you. I'll see you tomorrow unless you uh need something?" She gave him a weak smile hoping she didn't sound weird.

Kojiro turned to Junsui and nodded. "hey why don't you walk out with Isoroku. You two can get to know each other better, and the three of us can spend time together at lunch, ok?" He nodded, and turned to toss a smug look at Kumiko. As if to say to her 'See I'm not a dick to other girls. Just you. Because you're a horrible *****.'

"Thanks for the notes!" he waved to her.

----

Takuya lead the way down to the junior rooms, he spoke without turning to look at Seiya. "Now, Seiya-san, don't let these two cut any corners. No matter how much they beg...I know you like to be leanient with the student body, but today's punishments are to be fully carried through. I trust you to do a good job."

Yamada stood with a somewhat unhappy expression on his face. He hoped that the two students didn't do something stupid. He started to say something, then thought better of it and headed out of the room, walking briskly to head for his dorm to get ready for cram school. He couldn't help wondering if he'd made a poor decision in speaking out today, and found with much aggravation that he couldn't remember most of the day's lectures.

Rin gave a small nod. "um ok, I'll see you tomorrow." She felt nervous as she turn away and headed towards Isoroku, but she was glad she had done it. As she reached Yoshida she attempted another smile. "Um Yoshida, would you care to leave together?"

"Seriously?" she wasn't expecting Kojiro to be so cooperative. "Uh, yeah. I can do that. Thanks." She chose to ignore his smug attitude. It wasn't that big a deal. He wasn't making a fuss so neither would she. It was for the best if they were thinking about getting out of there at a decent time. She had things to do and if they were to be done, being nice to Kojiro was the way to get there.

----

"Hmmmm..." Akinari made an elongated humming like sound as he thought. "I guess you're right." he shrugged his shoulders, frowning. He got up from his desk and headed for the door. "Do a good job, ok? Don't give Mori-senpai a reason to keep you longer." he dropped his voice to a whisper. "I think he might be one of 'those' people."

And by 'those' people he just meant a genuinely callous person. After he got out of the main building he put on his running shoes and ran off towards the dorms. Much to do, much to do. As he was looking back at the windows, Akinari quite literally ran into Yamada's back. The impact forced him backwards onto the pavement.

"owe..."

Yamada jolted and nearly toppled over. He turned, fixed his glassed, surprised, and looked down at the other student, surprised. He didn't recognize the student, but wondered how someone's coordination could be so off. "Oh. Excuse me. Are you alright?" He was surprised that the impact did hurt, but he brushed it off, used to it.

Isoroku raised an eyebrow in surprise, but nodded in assent.

"Of course."

He finished packing his things up before heading toward the door, nodding farewell to Kojira as he went. "Have fun. See you tomorrow." He avoided Mizushima's gaze, hoping that situation wasn't going to get any worse.

He led the way into the hall and began progressing at a slow gait, expecting Junsui to fall in behind him. He glanced around to see who might be listening before he began to speak.

"Mori certainly has a funny way of showing it, but somewhere hidden in all that shit he said about us, there was some actual respect. It's very impressive that you've got his attention already."

Akinari bounced back up and bowed practically in the same motion. "Sorry for running into you! Sometimes I just kinda space out, haha." He gave the much taller male a good look. "Ah!" he exclaimed, pointing his finger at Yukimura's face. "YAMADA-SAN!" who wouldn't know the name of one of the school's top athletes? They were practically celebrities on campus. He gave a series of shallow bows. "Sorry, so sorry! You're ok, right?" without permission he lifted Yamada's arms, checking for invisible bruises.
