Rin followed behind Yoshida and felt a bit surprised by what he said. "You really think he meant anything from it?" She paused for a second as she caught up to him and matched his pace. "It sounded like he was just using us as an example to insult the rest of the class." She glanced at him to see his response.

"Hah! Yes, he used us indeed... in a way, maybe we should be thankful that he insulted us as well. If he'd glorified us, it would only have turned the others against us."

He considered, reaching the exit of the class building and holding the door open for her to pass through.

"Nevertheless, Mori really does think of us as his successors. I imagine pretty soon you'll be able to overtake Yamada in grades. It should not be a difficult feat. He is not the same as you and I, you understand."

 

[Cinnonym]

"You can count on me." Hikaru slid open the 2-B classroom door for the two of them, stepping inside toward Kumiko and Kojiro, "Excuse me. I'll supervise you while you clean this afternoon. It's a lot of work, so please be thorough." She glanced at Mori to see if he had anything else to add.

Eber sighed and perched on the edge of the teacher's desk, waiting.

Takuya nodded to Seiya. "I expect you two to treat her with the utmost respect. If she reports back to me you failed to follow orders, you both will be spending a lot of time with me in the future." he gave one final nod and left the class room. He was on to bigger and better thigns than Mizushima and Ishikawa.

As soon as the president left, Kojiro couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief. This would be SO much easier without Takuya breathing down their necks. "If you don't mind, Seiya-senpai, I have already offered to do the heavier cleaning. So just say where you'd like us to start and we will gladly get to it."

Yamada froze, surprised the other boy was touching him. He stepped back as politely as he could. He was fairly certain he'd never met someone more forward in his life.

"Yes. Yes, I'm fine. Please excuse me, but it seems you know who I am. May I ask who you are?" He was a bit concerned though for the younger male. "What about you though? You didn't hurt yourself, did you?"

'Oh thank god, it's Seiya.' her chest heaved in a giant sigh. 'She's so much easier to get along with thank the President.'

She nodded her head. "Yeah, we worked out a system. I've got the trash." she looked to Kojiro, "If you want, I can get the sinks and floors too." Kumiko had to be helpful or they'd never leave.

"Oh, right! Fujita, Akinari!" he was already excited again. Yamada showed the dedication in his field that Akinari wished he had. 'Am I ok?' he thought. Giving himself a quick pat down he was able to assess that he was indeed fine. "Yup, everything is in working order." he nodded, bright brown eyes shining up at the 'star'.

"You really think so?" Rin glanced away out of embarrassment. "I don't think i could do it though." She looked a bit downcast as she said this. "But you must be fairly driven to earn that praise for Moir though."

She smiled fondly at them both. "I'm glad the two of you are cooperating--but I think it'll go quickest with all three of us working." Hikaru rolled up her sleeves in preparation, "Let's start at the furthest end of the wing and work our way inward. Mizushima, if you'll gather the trash together, please. Kojiro, you do the floors; I'll clean the desks and blackboards."

The girl glanced up at them expectantly, holding out a box of latex gloves.

"Well, let's get started!"

"It's all about native wit. You've clearly got it-- one can tell from your entrance exam scores, that's the kind of thing where your inborn intelligence shows. Yamada doesn't have that. Yamada is only where he is through constant effort and struggling. A tiny amount of effort on your part can push you past him. I wouldn't feel too bad about it, either-- you saw today how he thinks of himself as above the rest of us, rebuking Kojiro like that in front of everyone."

"Maybe." Rin gave a small nod acknowledging Irosoku's point. She wondered if he really meant it when he said she could beat out Yamada. But Rin still wasn't very sure she could. "I'm not so sure I could, but thank you for saying so Yoshida."

Kojiro just about jumped for joy. he bowed to Seiya and took some gloves. "Yes, Seiya-snepai! You are the best EVER!" he rolled up his sleeves and pulled his first set of gloves over his hands.

Doing the floors would be no problem; if all went well, cleaning the whole floor would only take a couple of hours. He set to work, happy to have an extra hand. He felt bad for the poor sucker that had Mori's full attention.

Takuya arrived at the freshman homeroom. He opened the door, and spotted Fridmund waiting. No one else was around. "Excellent, Fridmund-kohai. He handed him a bucket full of cleaning supplies. I will supervise your activity in each room. The faster you get done, the faster we can go home. Understand?"

Kumiko looked at Hikaru in adoration. "Seiya-senpai, I could kiss you!" she grabbed a pair of gloves and was suddenly very happy to work. "I'll get started on that right away!" she waved on her way out of the door, practically bouncing as she did. She gave a quick glance at her charm watch, 'I should still have time for the photo shoot this evening!'

This would probably be the only time Kumiko would be ecstatic to take out trash.

"Any time. Do you have any questions about the school?"

"It's very nice to meet you, Fujita-kun." He seemed intrigued by the other boy's enthusiasm, having not encountered anything like it before. He was positive he'd have noticed Fujita if he'd been around. He was fairly positive he was a first year. "Are you new here?"

Hikaru set about cleaning the surfaces the same way she did anything else--with focused dedication. She scoured the desks, boards, tables and chairs in each and every single room with nothing but a quietly content expression. She glanced up to the clock now and again, wondering how much of her cram school lesson she'd be missing today... Well, this was more important anyway. She wouldn't let Mizushima and Ishikawa suffer through a second punishment after the first was being berated by their senpai in front of the entire class.

Eber smirked quite cheekily at the older boy but nodded, getting down on his knees to start the grunt work. "Yes, Senpai." He grabbed up the smallest brush he could find in the bucket, spritzed the tiniest amount of cleaner onto the floor, and set about diligently scrubbing one single spot of laminate.

"Should I watch out for anyone besides Moir?" She Glanced at Yoshida to see how he responds.

Isoroku stopped briefly at a drinking fountain, taking a long drink before resettling his bag on his back.

"Hmm. Seiya's harmless. Helpful, really. She's under Mori's thumb, but she'll try to help you if she can. And you'll want to avoid Mizushima's group, of course. Athletic and popular, but not intelligent, and without good prospects academically. Again, poor Kojiro's interactions today have no doubt already displayed to you who the bad seeds are."

Kojiro started by sweeping the floors. He made sure to get up every bit of dust and trash before mopping them down. He wanted the floors to be so clean that you could eat off of them. he had truly misjudged Seiya-senpai. during his entire first year here, she never stopped Mori form coming down on him, he thought she was weak for allowing him to run rampant. But it seemed this year she was taking charge a bit.

Saving them form Mori was a plus in his book. He knew she couldn't get them out of cleaning, they had been fighting on campus; but keeping Mori out of the room was the next best thing. He smiled as he cleaned. This year wasn't so bad! It was only his second day and he had acquired a new friend, and received a little insight to two people he originally thought poorly of. Now if only he could get Kumiko off his back, things would be almost perfect.

Takuya stat at the teacher's desk and worked on his homework. He would occasionally look up to see Fridmund slowly cleaning. He smirked. Did that fool think he was going to get tired and let him leave early? Hardly.

"I'm glad to see you working so hard at this Fridmund-kohai. I hope you put this much dedication into everything that you do."

Rin nodded at Yoshida. "I'll becareful, and thank you for your help. But I should probably get back to the dorms so I can start on today's class works." She gave a small smile. "But I'll see you and Ishikawa tomorrow at lunch." She gave a small wave and started back for her dorm room.

Kumiko gathered a the little bins of trash and filled bags with the contents. She hauled them all out to the front to be kept neatly under the garbage net until the trucks came by to claim the rubbish. After she was sure that she had cleared the floor of all the little bits she headed back to Seiya for her next task.

He nodded, still smiling. "Yes, I am. First year here. I've heard so much about this place. There are so many rising star athletes here! I hope I do well. I am going to try for baseball. Or maybe another, I guess baseball season is pretty short. Oh, feel free to stop me at any time, I always talk way too much." he chuckled a bit quieting down for his senpai.
