Takuya continued to work on his homework. "I'm sure that if your this attentive to your training as you are to that floor you'll do just fine. That is if you ever get off that floor. You have several others to do."

----

Kojiro moved from the class rooms out to the hallways. he knew he had to get the bathrooms as well. There was so much to do, but with Seiya helping Kumiko he was confident he wouldn't be here all night. he was surprised his Senpai was such a good cleaner. She must do a bit of work at home herself. He chuckled, not like Mizushima. He was certain she had tons of servants that did all the hard work for her.

"Right, um..." Hikaru chewed her lip thoughtfully and then nodded, "You and I can do the girls' restrooms, and Kojiro can do the boy's. That's fair, isn't it?"

------

"Oh, yes. I absolutely do."

Eber shifted to scrub the next tile down, but wasn't going much faster. He seemed completely nonchalant about being there all night if necessary, anything to irk the President.

"All right. See you tomorrow."

Isoroku gave a last wave before heading back to his own dorm-- he'd been waiting all day to get back and take care of some long-awaited business.

He returned to his room, shutting and locking the door and tossing his bag down on his bed. He plopped into his desk chair and flipped open his laptop, feeling confident that he could surf with impunity.

He opened his email first, and found a waiting message from his mother. She wrote from time to time, asking how school was, and usually inquiring as to whether he'd made any new friends. As he wrote back, he found himself surprised that for once he had, and he told his mother about Kojiro.

After sending the message, he opened a search engine, and began researching keystroke logging software. He felt this was his best hope of accessing the faculty system again-- it could simply tell him the usernames and passwords of all of his teachers.

He quickly decided that software was impractical-- too easily detectable, and it'd take far too long to install it on the homeroom's computer. He soon found a hardware option-- a tiny device that plugged in and logged every keystroke without needing any installation. He found it beautiful in its simplicity. He hissed at what seemed like a steep price to a poor student such as himself-- 5,000 Yen-- but he quickly accessed his online bank account and found that he could afford it.

He selected "next-day delivery". As it was already late in the day, this meant that the item should arrive to the student post the day after next.

He grunted at the price of the rush delivery, but paid it anyway. If one wanted to do great things, one had to make sacrifices.

As he hit the final button confirming the order, he felt a rush of adrenaline. Things were coming back together. He quickly swept through his email and browser history and deleted any evidence of his browsing and purchase.

After sitting with his eyes closed for a few minutes, he took out his books and began, with trepidation, to do his homework.

He nodded, surprised that they're still chatting, and he was enjoying it. "It's no problem. It's good to be high-energy. We are very well-known for our athletics and curriculum. I must admit I've never tried baseball. Have you tried any martial arts? I'm most interested in Sojutsu."

Takuya smirked as he watched Fridmund clean. He was certain the freshman was planning to keep them there all night. But the joke was on Fridmund, Takuya had no problems staying up all night. Since he slept for so long two nights ago he had energy to burn for days. he could probably go another three days before he needed another nap. And he had an extra uniform in his bag, so he was set to stay her until sun up the next day.

He stood up form the desk, "Keep working, Fridmund-kohai, I will be back." Takuya stepped out into the hallway, pulled out his cellphone, and called Seiya to see how the juniors were doing.

"Oh, that's simple enough." the bathroom was usually one of the cleanest places in the school. She grabbed a new pair of gloves and some cleaners and went into the bathroom to begin the scrub down. "We should get this done pretty quick with two people." she smiled at her superior.

---

"Once, when I was thirteen. But I was told I have too much energy. I guess I never really did well with sitting around and meditating. Or jack-knifes or any of that stuff. I was never too big on hurting people. Even in self defense I still feel bad." he shrugged and immediately after his eyes widened. "Not that martial arts is a bad thing! I'm really impressed with how good you are! It's amazing! It's just not for me. I like non-contact sports, ya know? I get to have fun with minimal injuries and --oh crap!" Akinari's hand shot up and hovered in front of his mouth. "I forgot! I am supposed to start cooking soon! It was very nice to meet and talk to you, Yamada-senpai! I hope we get to talk again!" he gave a farewell bow and just as quickly as the encounter happened, he darted away.

Hikaru let out a small gasp when she heard her phone ring. "Um--I'll be right back, Mizushima, you just keep at it!" Hurrying out to the hall, she sidestepped the passing Kojiro and answered, voice level, "Yes, Mori-sama?"

-------

Eber watched his superior head out into the hall and dug through the bucket a second time, standing up. He unscrewed the bottle of bleach and unbuckled the boy's book bag and gave it a rather wicked look. He doused the contents with the chemical--his spare clothes, textbooks, and any electronics he may have been carrying too. He'd ensure that he finished his cleaning chores before the stain seeped through the leather.

"If you want to play," he murmured in German, "I'll bring the ball."

He put the bag as he found it and began to more effectively clean the floors.

"A-alright." she rose an eyebrow at Hikaru as she rushed out of the room to answer her phone. After she was gone she shrugged her shoulders and go back to cleaning. She didn't have the time to wait for her to be done. Though she did wonder if the call was something urgent. Kumiko decided to start tackling the toilets first and get the unpleasantries out of the way.

Takuya smirked as Seiya answered, "How are they doing? Are they still fighting with one another? If they take too long you may leave them, I know you have cram school to attend." he leaned up against the hallway wall, perfectly comfortable in his own little world.

----

Kojiro watched as Seiya rushed away to answer her phone. He could have sworn he saw her blush...perhaps it was a call form her boyfriend? He chuckled. He never saw her so excited about anything but he didn't mind. She had been so helpful she deserved a break.

Hikaru covered one ear with a hand, attentive, "Yes... Well, actually, they've nearly finished. They decided they'd rather work together after all. I think I'll be able to make it to my lesson."

Takuya was...disappointed. They worked together...he supposed he'd have to let them off the hook after today. "Alright then..when they're done come down here. I'll give you a ride to your cram school lesson. Grandfather bought me a new car over the break."

Takuya always took some sense of pride in showing off. He rarely had reason to drive his vehicle anywhere, but Seiya went places all the time. Dropping her off allowed him the opportunity to rub into a few students faces that had things they could never obtain.

"I'll see you in a bit." He hung up the phone and returned to the room.

"Fridmund-kohai! I'm escorting Seiya-san to her cram lesson. I will be back. Keep working while I'm away." He walked over to his bag and picked it up. "Don't try anything funny. understand." He slung the bag over his shoulder and headed out of the room.

Eber chuckled softly, answering in a sing-song voice, "Yes, senpai~."

--------

"O-Oh, I--" Hikaru was almost relieved that the other boy had hung up because all of her words seemed momentarily jammed together. She ran back into the bathroom, blushing, and helped Mizushima finish the cleaning.

"Mizushima... I know you may disagree with Mori-sama's methods, but his standards really are what's best for Akaito. I hope you and Kojiro can get along a bit better now."

She peeled off her gloves and heaved a sigh of relief when the last sink was scrubbed.

"All right! As soon as Kojiro's finished, you can both go home for the rest of the afternoon... Oh! Don't forget to wear your soccer uniform during club rush--it seems to really help the enrollment rate!"

Hikaru smoothed out her clothing and her hair, dabbing away the sheen of sweat from her brow with the end of her sleeve; when she was satisfied that she didn't look to have been cleaning for an hour, she went downstairs to meet with Takuya.

Rin opened the door to her dorm room and stepped through. She gave a small sigh as she shut the door. But she found herself smiling despite it all. She set her bag at her desk and kicked off her shoes. She ran her hands through her hair a few times and took a seat at her desk. Her thoughts turned back towards her day as she pulled out her notes and books. It had been a bad day up to the end. But she hoped things might go well at lunch tomorrow with Ishikawa and Yoshida.

She ignored the nervous sensation she got in her stomach at that thought and began writing in her notebook. Ishikawa seemed nice, and even a little nervous like herself. Yoshida had also seemed nicer than he had yesterday, which she was happy about. She gave a small shake of her heard and laughed to herself a little and got back to her school work.

Kojiro stepped out the boy's bathroom just in time to see Seiya booking it down the hall. 'Man that phone call must have been really important.' He looked down the hall to the girls bathroom and called out to Kumiko.

"Hey! Mizushima! You done in there? Are we free to go?"

---

Takuya stood at the base of the stairs waiting for Seiya. As he saw her come down, he almost chuckled at how quickly she had arrived. Seiya was always very quick to respond to him. Her quick nature appeased him, to anyone else, her steadfast loyalty would be endearing, even lovable.

"Ready to go?" He asked her once she was withing ear shot.

"Yes," she said, nearly breathless, "I appreciate the ride--it isn't necessary, though, if you... Well, if you're busy..."

Takuya shook his head, "Seiya-san, you are an excellent student, a fine contributor to the student body, you exemplify everything the freshmen should try to be, keep a cool and level head, and are my invaluable assistant. I am only offering the ride as a way to return the favor of never disappointing me." He turned around and lead the way to his car. That statement might have been a bit over blown, but it was true none the less. Seiya was all of those things. A hard worker, dedicated student, excellent role model for the underclassmen.

She was the only student who's presence he could tolerate for long periods of time. True, she did have some faults. She often like to be too friendly, and her emotions easily got the better of her judgment form time to time. However that was expect she was a woman after all. They are highly emotional, but it was a good instinct for a woman to have. Otherwise she would fail as a mother. So even her faults balanced out.

Yes it was safe to say, that every now and again he could find it acceptable with himself to pay Seiya an insult free compliment.

"Ok, I can do that. We could always use more people trying out. We can find better gems that way."

She popped her head out of the door and and nodded. For once she didn't feel intense hatred when she looked at him. It was probably due to the mood high she was on from Seiya's offer to help. "Yeah, we're all done here." she said peeling off her gloves.

'Now to get out of here, bathe, and rush to the studio.'

"Great!" Kojiro tossed his gloves into the trash. "Well I guess this is good bye." he waved at Mizushima, contient he would never have to talk to her again. Things were finally going to get back to normal.

...Except Isoroku wanted to go check out the train tomorrow. DAMN IT!

Hikaru's mouth opened, but shut after a moment or two of no words coming out. She could hardly control her blushing. "Th-That's... I only... Well, thank you..." She had to consciously tell herself to cease speaking before she made herself look a fool after such kind words. Rarely was Takuya ever so encouraging, but she felt justified receiving the compliments as well--she always sought to achieve the best possible result in her projects. So did he, Hikaru told herself, and that's why he wears such a stern mask... She followed behind him, lost in her own thoughts.

Takuya lead Seiya to his car and unlocked the doors. He dropped his bag in the back seat and waited for her to settle in.

"I do hope Fridmund-kohai doesn't slack off while I'm away...Honestly, Seiya, I don't know what you see in some of the freshmen. That German is nothing but a slacker as far as I can see." He started up the engine and pulled out of the student parking lot. Really Seiya's cram school wasn't that far away, but Takuya couldn't let a single opportunity slip by to put others in their place.

At this moment, namely, Yamada. He was not fool, he saw the usually stoic student smiling at his secretary during their lunch time visit. He knew a problem when he saw it brewing and he was going to squash this before it even had a chance. Seiya did not have time for the flirtatious advances of an underclassmen.Especially and underclassmen Takuya did not like.

He had to teach Yamada he had no chance. And as such Takuya had to be sure to spend as much of his free time with Seiya as possible.

It was for her own good really. She couldn't honestly hope to keep her grades and social status up if her mind was preoccupied with thoughts of that fool junior. Yamada didn't even have any worth while personality traits. He was about as interesting and exciting as plank of wood. Yes, Takuya was doing her a favor. And teaching Yamada a valuable lesson.

Don't meddle in what's his.
