"It...does..." Akinari stared forward with wonder, his imagination carrying things too far. He started to think about all those American super-spy movies and all of it still seemed to fit Eber well enough. "Evil spy, I shall never reveal our secrets!" is what he meant to say in his head along with his daydreams, but it just sort of fell out of his mouth. Akinari clapped his hand over his mouth, looking rather abashed. "Er, sorry. Sometimes...sometimes I get a little swept away."

Both eyebrows flew upward. Then he laughed. He couldn't really help himself, it was just so ridiculous...

"I am glad you are amused..."

The man from earlier returned with their meals; the aroma was heavenly. The dishes had been seared, steamed, and garnished to perfection. Eber was quite pleased.

"This looks wonderful. Try yours, I want to see how you like it."

He took up a fork and tried a bit of the meal. He chewed once or twice and he could already tell just what was going on in the dish. Akinari placed his hand in front of his mouth so that when he spoke he would not visibly be speaking with a mouth full of food, "This is fantastic!"

"It's so well balanced in flavors. It's cheesy and creamy, there's not too much butter. It doesn't over power the scallops or the mushroom. This is seasoned to perfection." Akinari was off in a world of his own. "What's yours like?"

Yamada raised a hand as if to stop her from going, but it dropped just as soon as she hurried off. He worried over the messages and decided the best thing to do was to call one of his teammates. Since he was more acquainted with her now he got his phone out and dialed in Mizushima's number, thankful now more than ever that he got her and Eber's information. He hoped they could figure out more from the snippets he read, or maybe have a chance to read more later. He felt guilty for digging into Seiya's personal matters but they were applying to more in this case. He nervously held the phone to his head as he walked toward the campus.

Kumiko was in the middle of a series of stalling when she heard her distinct ringtone. She dropped the ball and ran to her phone. Expecting the agency she was a bit disappointed when she saw 'Yamada, Yukimura' on the display screen. 'Oh well.'

"He~llo! This is Mizushima."

"Hello, Mizushima-san. I'm very sorry to bother you went we're going to be meeting so soon, but something occurred at cram school that I wanted to discuss."

He glanced around to be sure no one else was there that could hear him and he worried he was blowing this out of proportion. He was worried about Seiya-sempai and about his own group.

"Hm?" Kumiko sat down on the grass. "What's up?" whatever the matter was, if it couldn't wait until the group meet up, it had to have been relatively important. "I'm all ears here."

"I wasn't sure if I should tell everyone yet because it's not much to go on, but I ...managed to read some of Seiya-sempai's texts before the lesson tonight. Some of it worried me."

He glanced around to be sure there was no one around, then pulled his glasses off and cleaned them to have something to do with his hands.

"She said something about Mori-sempai not knowing something about the security system and something about restlessness and mentioned Eleanor. I couldn't read most of it, just the beginnings, but then the other person, Kuroda I'm pretty sure their name was, asked if she'd taken her medication. The last worried me because I couldn't wake her up at first. I was afraid something more may be wrong."

He was surprised at how much he was communicating today, but was happy to get that off his chest. It'd been weighing on him since he'd read the messages.

'You really shouldn't be going through someone's phone...but...'

"Wait a second. She knows about Eleanor? Yeah, it sucks that she might be sick. But I think the more important thing here is that she knows of Eleanor. She's probably heard the same things we have about all this. And she's still trying to stop us? We can find out about this Kuroda person later. Bring it up at the meeting." Kumiko was just a little irked at Seiya.

 

[PresqueVu]

"Hm... alright. I'm sure she has her reasons though. Maybe she's trying to do what's right for everyone? Remove them from harm's way." He was musing more to himself now and realized it. "Ah- Sorry for bothering you, Mizushima-san. I appreciate you listening to me."

Kojiro turned to look at Rin, "Because...because of the way they act. Kumiko and Yamada...they never worry about anything other than trivial bullshit. Last year was bad enough...Yamada thinks he's better than everyone just because his grandfather runs some cooperation - but Yamada himself has never done anything worth while!" He sneers, "But he thinks he's too good to interact with the other students! Whenever he looks at people he's either looking right through them or scrutinizing them." He shook his head.

"That is unless, of course you're Seiya-senpai. He chases her and the faculty around like their all golden idols. He's a stuck up prick who's never actually had to get his hands dirty for anything in his whole life!" He stops outside the science room door glaring at it.

"And don't get me started on the materialistic drama queen. She would never date a guy for 'love'. All that matters to her is what's in someones check book...and now, now that we all have to work together do either of them attempt to go outside their circle of comfort?"

He slams open the door startling anyone inside. "No! They instead crowd around the new rich kid! being down there is just like being in school. The excessively wealthy, snooty kids all crowd around together and shun anyone they don't like or that tries to bring them back to reality."

He sits down at work station and drops his bag angrily. "Fuckers."

He speared a piece of fish and asparagus on his fork and held it out to him across the table, "Try it."

'Remove is from harms way? But doing nothing is just as bad...ah whatever.'

She shrugs though no one can see it, "No problem, Yamada-san. I'll see you later. Bye!" Kumiko hangs up the phone and goes back to practicing.

Akinari leans across the table to sample the bouillabaisse. "I can't even place all of the things that are involved in making this. It's so good though!" He began to make a mental log of the combination of tastes and textures that went well together. "And you eat here a lot?

He stared at the phone for a moment, then sighed and walked the rest of the way back to campus, distracted by far too many thoughts.

"Mm... My stomach never seemed suited to following my schoolmates to the ramen shop after class, so I would eat here. The owner appreciates me. He gets to practice his French." Eber smiled, digging into his meal, "The bento you prepare for me, by the way--They are wonderful. Such a sampling of standard Japanese fare I was not expecting. I thank you for that, and for the time you must spend in cooking... Sorry to be such trouble."

Akinari waved his hands in front of him like he was swatting a mess of flies. "No, no, no. It's no trouble at all." Though he did have to get up a bit earlier everyday to make an entirely separate meal, he did not mind too much. "I am happy to prepare food for someone who looks forward to my cooking. I'm surprised you're not bored of it yet." he ate leisurely.

Eber shook his head to assure him of the fact that he was certainly not tired of it. It was a treat to be so well cared for. He continued his meal, making idle conversation while he ate. When the owner returned with the check, they shared a brief exchange in French and Eber paid the bill in full.

He turned back to Akinari, tilting his head, "How do you feel? Full, I hope."

"I may not need to eat for two days." He exaggerated. Though in a few hours or simply one of running around he could probably put down just as much food as he consumed in the restaurant. "Thank you for the treat. I should try to go out a little more often to sample things." Akinari was shinning brightly.

Rin shifted nervously as Kojiro finished his explanation. She hadn't meant to set him off, she slowly came in the room behind him setting her bag down next to his. She glanced around the room doing her best to think of what to say. Even if she was getting better about not being nervous around people, she'd never been a good talker. She could see his point, but she could also see, he wasn't really thrilled about working with either of them to begin with.

Taking a few deep breaths to calm herself Rin turned slightly to face him. "I um, can certainly see your point Kojiro-san. It I um..." She was faltering, she didn't know how to say something like this to someone. She looked at him hoping he'd know what she meant, or that he'd help her out.

"Of course you should try the food of different cultures. Perhaps next time... Well, we will see what the city has to offer. We shall make it habit! I will take you out to try something new every so often, in return for the meals you provide me. That does sound fair, does it not?"

He stood and ruffled his hair affectionately. "Let us return to campus before it becomes too late... I am still not supposed to be out."
