Takuya smiled. "No, I approve. You show such great initiative, Seiya." He grabbed her shoulders and rubbed them. "You're doing a wonderful job taking care of the school. I can't wait to be back in action to help you..."

'And to catch and beat down some of those ingrates.'

Kumiko giggled, "From what I hear, you're already too hard on your sparring partners in Sojutsu. You must focus in or something. But that's good, it just means you really appreciate the art."

Hikaru's heart swelled up a thousand times and then almost just as quickly popped.

"Well," she blurted out before she could even think of an excuse, "You don't have to worry about that, I-I've got it covered. Besides, the control unit for the system is locked up in the faculty office, I'm really the only one who knows how to use it... It's perfectly functional."

He seemed a bit embarrassed again, but gave a small smile. "I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in that. I'm afraid for anyone that plays you in soccer."

"Is it?" Takuya nodded, "Then tomorrow I would like to see it. And for you to teach me how to use it."

Hikaru made a small squeak of protest but nodded, wringing her hands in front of her, "Y-Yes sir..."

"...Is something wrong?" He frowned slightly. She was panicking far too much...she was protecting someone. He took her hands, "What's wrong Seiya? Is someone giving you a hard time? Tell me?"

She laughed, "You're right. I don't really play around when I get on the field. It's just me, the ball, and a goalie who is standing in my way. If anyone pops up between me and that goalie, they're causing their own problems. It's really like I'm always training now. I've got games to keep me in shape, soccer practice, and then tunnels. Sooner or later, I'll be moving mountains with these legs." she gave them a pat.

'There is no way Yamada is against us. I'm glad I'm on this team.'

She immediately squeezed both his hands in hers; it took all of her focus just to force the presence of that dark, damp thing far away from Mori. When had it gotten so strong?

"No, of course not! Don't be silly." She gave an awkward laugh and released him almost as quickly as she'd grabbed him up, "I'll see you tomorrow in class--"

Hikaru hurried out of the door and back to her homeroom as the bell rang, signaling the end of lunch.

Kumiko waved to Yamada and sat back in her seat. 'End. END. Maybe if I stare at the clock hard enough it'll skip an hour or two.' Realizing that that would just be a silly sight, Kumiko instead stared forward at the teacher, occasionally jotting down notes.

'I wonder where we're going. I can remember anything in this area. Maybe I should bring my notebook just in case I see something that looks good' Akinari started to doodle things on his paper, doing everything but focusing on the lesson. 'Ah!' he made an X with his fingers, catching himself not paying attention. 'Notes! You have to take notes for two people!'

Yamada nodded back to her in a friendly way and turned back to his lessons, feeling much better. He found he was able to concentrate more once he got at least some of his thoughts out in the open.He had a feeling tonight was going to be a good night.

Kojiro sat quietly taking notes for the rest of class. His mind drifted from the vial to Isoroku to Yamada and back to school work. He wasn't really interested in doing his work today.

Takuya returned to his room. For the rest of the day his chest felt at ease and he felt totally alone. It was how he should always feel...and yet he hated it. Just where had the monster gone? It troubled him. Was the creatures domain on school grounds? he really wanted access to the security system. He hopped that at least being back in his room tonight would draw the creature out.

Heh, if anyone else could hear his thoughts now they'd think he was mad.

Class ended anticlimactically; the bell rang and the students filed out of the rooms, already used to the routine. Hikaru left for cram school immediately, while Eber continued to wait in the lobby.

She blinked hard, being snapped out of some daydream or another when the bell sounded to leave. 'Monday. What the hell do I do on Monday. I can't practice for too long, I can't wander too far.' Kumiko checked her phone again. 'Nothing. Oh well.'

She sighed audibly and headed down to the gym to change. 'Might as well practice a little...'

Akinari headed straight for the dorms. He was still excited, not able to anticipate where he might be going. "Oh, you're here already." He waved. "Is it okay if I go change first? I'll be really quick."

Eber nodded, not moving from the couch. "Of course! Take your time."

Kumiko gets out of the gym and onto the field in no time. She practices stalling and a few showy kicks here and there.

"Kay!" He smiles broadly and rushes off to his room.

Akinari opened his closet and took out the first shirt and pair of pants that caught his eye. It seemed appropriate enough to him. A colorful designer t-shirt that looked like someone just dropped little buckets of paint on its upper half and then scribbled English in cursive. The pants were probably way over priced to look as worn as they did.

"All set!" Akinari said as soon as Eber was in view again.

Kojiro packed up his things and stood by Rin's desk, waiting for her to finish packing. "You all set for our lab adventure?"

Rin looked up when Kojiro stopped by her desk. "Ah I am." She stood up and pushed her chair up to her desk. "Shall we get Yamada-san, and go?"

 

[Rosen2012]

Kojiro looked over at Yamada's desk, "Nah he's got cram school each day. We'll just tell him on our way out...he can join us later if he wants to." Kojiro turns and takes the lead exiting the room.

He stops by and informs Yamada that he and Rin are going tot eh science lab, "You can swing by after your cram school...if you want." He doesn't wait for a response. He turns and heads out and waits for Rin to catch up.

Takuya sat in his room, toying with his keycard. He needed to look at that security system. Until then he was confined within the school and had to obey curfew. He rolled his eyes. No matter. It would only be one night. Tomorrow he would have Seiya show him the room. And then he could walk freely at night.

Maybe even catch some of these deviants Seiya was covering for. He wondered who it would be. Her silly gossiping girl friends? No, even Seiya would not cover for those airheads. it was someone she felt closer to. He scowled.

Yamada. It had to be.

He was constantly flirting with her...how disgusting. But then why would Yamada be breaking the rules? If there was one thing Takuya appreciated about him, it was that Yamada never stepped outside of line. He barely even toed it when he did do something 'wrong'. This just made him more curious. What was going on at night?

Between his strange monster and sneaky students, this year was going to be fun.

He smiled.

Rin quickly rushes to catch up to Kojiro. She looks at him as the head to the science lab. "Hm last night didn't go well did it?"
