I just ignore any video game related episodes/rants of his. I tend to like his take on geek culture and "_________...ARE...WEEEIIIIIRD!" episodes, but video game discussions tend to bring out his ugly side. He's clearly out of his depth when it comes to the subject.

Corridor of Duty. LOL

I wonder how long ppl are gonna keep buying this shit. Sooner or later even the casuals even have to get sick of it, no ? I guess they'll always be fresh 10 year olds ready to fill in and keep the tradition going. Maybe more hardcore RPGs like Skyrim and ME will start pulling them away.
There's no chance they could like both or anything. Nope. No sir. Not a chance.

[sub][sub][sub]Oh wait, I like both. Silly me.[/sub][/sub][/sub]
So does yours.

That's not a surprise because games like Skyrim and ME are aimed at the CoD/Gears of War crowd.
Defiantly, I totally remember gunning down all those bandits and stormcloaks in Skyrim when I was hiding behind all those chest high walls in linear corridors, I mean it's so like Call of Duty I can't even tell the difference!
Doesn't ME have chest high walls and linear corridors ?

I know a bunch of CoD/Gears players that would never touch a proper traditional style RPG, but would be all over games like ME and Skyrim. Don't underestimate the Toddler and the tards at Bioware when it comes to 'going after the CoD crowd'. The Bio devs even said it themselves... PUBLICLY even !!
So because people play cod or gears that means they can't like RPGs, or any game that they also like is somehow tainted? Maybe these games don't play like a "proper" (and I say that with the most exaggerated tone) RPG, but the thing is their a lot more fun to play then the "proper" RPGs ever were
Yea, because a hiking sim where you constantly mash the attack buttan over and over again or a cheesy interactive movie complete with emotional engagements and shitty 3rd person shooting is totally my idea of 'fun'.
Some people pick the wierdest things to feel superior about. I mean you don't seriously think that because someone enjoys a differant video game to you that they are therefore dumber or have less of an attention span?
Maybe I don't want my game to be overly taxing? Maybe I get enough of that shit at work? Maybe the key factor in my choice of entertainment is whether it entertains me and not whether is 'mature' or 'deep' enough.

Remember, just because something is not your idea of fun, doesn't mean it isn't someone else's.

He does seem to come from a certain sector of the knee-jerk left.

I'm not exactly enamoured with the the glut of mil-shooters but COD's universe is such a silly pastiche of Black Hawk Down, Behind Enemy Lines and Red Dawn that getting worked up about it is kinda pointless.

Personally, Just how many people buy COD for the story rather then the Massive and Addicting Multi-Player?

That's what I thought...
What's wrong with multiplayer?

CoD is a cheaper form of paintball for me. I don't play paintball for the story...

If I wanted to bash Call of Duty, I don't need Moviebob's help :p

(Call of Duty is a terrible series of games military-industrial complex ads that sacrifices balance and skill ceiling for accessibility. Also, untied community is babies and dudebros. Plus, neither hats nor jetpacks. See? No Moviebob necessary.)
Now I want to play a game where babies with jetpacks duke it out with dudebros in hats.
Haha that would be epic. I'm imagining something halfway between Jersey Shore and Meet the Pyro.
A guy followed me on Raptr he looks like a mega dudebro, spikey hair and bright orange tan and muscles. All his games are fps and all his friends on there are women, it's pretty funny.

I don't like Call of Duty games but realistic military games aren't really my thing anyways. I don't think any less of someone who likes it.

As for Moviebob it's the guys opinion I guess. I don't always agree with him see: Other M. Sometimes he has very good points though.

For some reason I got an image of the Bastion narrator following you around while you played paintball.

He bitched about Metroid Prime?

He bitched about fucking Metroid Prime?!

And only because of the viewpoint?

There can be no redemption for him now.

But seriously, I used to like his reviews (ages ago, got bored though), but...

Gah. I'm out.
Oh that's not all, he claimed Other M was better then Metroid Prime solely because it wasn't in First Person.

I have long since been bored of military shooters, though i don't have any hate of CoD in particular. It's only that it all has already been there, there is only so much you can do with a realistic military setting.

Yeah it bothers me too. Then again, I figured i'd give him a chance at the fucking scream review and everyone who has watched that knows exactly why you wouldn't want to watch anything by him again after that intro.

Nah, not really. Then again, I don't really care about MovieBob anymore, because most of the time, he obvious he has no idea what he's talking about.

Yep, Moviebob thinks everyone should hold the exact same opinion as him and anyone who doesn't is a bastard.

In other news, the sky is blue.
and you respect others opinions that don't align well with your own, right?
like, this very post I quoted? Good. *endless loop of hypocrisy*
I guess we will have this discussion over and over again until we lose all sense of reason and opinion, so the only chance is to either agree, or not to care.

OT: Well, his opinion is his opinion. I could rage about CoD all day long as well, for it is an overhyped generic brown shooter to me, but I know enough people who actually like the game.
And that's ok. Nobody should care about other people not liking the games one likes, as one single opinion doesn't define an individual.

EDIT: wait, he bashed Metroid Prime for being in first person? FORGET EVERYTHING I SAID, THAT MAN NEEDS TO BE STOPPED. [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BerserkButton]

I... Wait, what? I can't tell if you're accusing me of hypocrisy, or agreeing with me.
