Note to Bethesda: do not make another Elder Scrolls game, you already fucked up with TESIV.

I don't like Oblivion but really Bethesda made a lot of money, scored rave reviews, and gained more fans than they every did with the previous games. I'd say a vast majority of Oblivion players never would have played Morrow wind or Daggerfall etc.

So I don't think they fucked up (again I didn't like it), they were extremely successful and another ES will be on the way.

Oh, so many times i dreamed of slapping a dev for poor/lazy/stupid decisions on their end.

So many things to say..

I usually get that urge when, like in Oblivion, i realized that the game was massively unbalanced in favor of magic users. When, as a dev, you make the stupid mistake of only making playable one of several options you offer in a game (and that one make the other two absolutely useless, since as "mage" you do everything they do.. better than themselves).. you didnt do you job properly. And you wasted my time.

Also when the scenario and/or gameworld just doent make any sense, when a 5 years old could point out the huge plotholes in the coherency of your stuff. THat just kills immersion and thats just taking us for idiots.
Edit- Basically, use some common sense devs!!

Cutscenes. I hate them all (its also why i like HL2's way of doing the narrative, exept in the end.. you dont lose control of Gordon even in the middle of scripted events).

I hate kill-QTEs too. Those like God of War are a bonus to you, they dont kill you in a split-second.

Actually, it's an EA method to slowly kill the used market. That's why you e.g. don't get a code like that for Dragon Age, if you don't buy it before the price gets lowered.

This jumped out at me, I just had to agree.
Yes it would make it a bit more difficult to have local co-op online with a mate in say COD, but it makes it worth it learning to put up with it so that you dont have to have 2 bloody consoles and two copies of the game.
I saw no reason why Forza couldn't have incoporated local online multiplayer with a splitscreen.

Its only the online that was an overrated unbalanced piece of trope, the story was exception (Aside from when you heard the word "RAMIREZ!" ever 5 seconds) but online was full of more vomit then a British Sunday morning (...Probably).
