I too have always seen myself as a sniper, but not because I think I am an UBER1337HAX0RW17HM4DSK1LLZLOLOLOLOL
Just because I have always liked being the little prick in the background who gets 2 kills and 5 deaths every game but gets the opertunity to laugh about all the heads they made a-splode

Now to the point: People say there awesome snipers, i argue, without trying to brag, not many people beat or snipe me, its lying people, if you don't believe me, try me, i want people to stop saying there good with a sniper when there not.

PSN: Spirultima
In any other game i am a terrible sniper 99% my shots are from chance
but in Killzone 2 i kickass as a sniper as in i can take any sniper confidently without having to worry about him being better because i have a natural skill to kill you first when i'm sniping in Killzone 2

in other games i just grab the nearest assualt rifle and go all rambo !!

I'm quite a good Sniper, today on CoD4, I was splaying as a sniper, got 20 kills (including some stabbings and desert eagle-ings) of which, 80% were headshots. Don't like to blow my own horn, but as a Sniper, I kinda rock...

I argue, because the maps are small people can take you out much easier, and also, claymores are a single use object, if they dodge that then your screwed, unless you've mastered your pistol weapon (i recommend that so much).
*sigh*

The maps are smaller making your target easier to hit - its not about staying silent in COD4, snipers are rarely if ever used in competition play because they aren't effective in a real match against organised team - a sniper is a wasted player on that game.

Facts are that every game you have listed bar about 3 (maybe) have been either single player or games in which Sniping takes little skill. Your desperately trying to cling on to some sort of irritating arrogance, and yet you only address the points you think you can counter-argue. Completely ignoring the fact CoD has no bullet distance effect; thus making sniping in that game poorly done. Particularly as the hit detection is not perfect, as confirmed by Infinity Ward.
Hmmm, i do see what your saying, but there is error, do you snipe? and if so, do you snipe on hardcore?
When I do play shooting games (usually for about 10 minutes before I get bored recently - maybe Battlefield : Bad Company 2 and Modern Warefare 2 will change that) I am usually a sniper, yes. On COD4 I used to play hardcore, yes.

Why does it matter...?
And your complaining about being easy? practically, a single shot kills you, campers, kill you, luck grenades kill you etc. (and MW2 should reignite the FPS to the way it should be)

I used to play sniper when I was playing my COD4 comp team, I was alright but there where alot of other snipers out there who really pushed me to try my hardest to outplay them.
I'm more of a hit and run sniper, I'll try to kill one or two people and then I'll move around.

I hate snipers who sit still and carry claymores so they can camp out a room, those are the predictable idiots who are always in the same spots.
They make great practice.

However, CoD4 really isn't that good for snipers in all honesty. The maps are too small for them to be really effective.

*buzzer* sorry thats an incorrect answer. M16 is NOT a sniper, thats a semi-automatic machinegun with a scope as i like to call "the pussy sniper" or "the noob sniper" im partial to the Dragonov because it does have some recoil, can't be fired repeatedly and still be effective, and it does take more skill to master. And the M1014, because that has low recoil, but is a bolt action.
The dragonov is a Semi auto sniper rifle, I'm pretty certain that It can be fired repeatedly. Only the bolt actions cannot be spammed.
I also fail to see how it takes more skill to master one of the Semi auto's over the bolt actions, do explain that too me.

It is easy...I didn't say I was bad at them, just said they don't hold my interest like they used to.

well... coming to a gaming comunity to brag?? how unusuall...

i dont mind snipers, if i know a sniper is somewhere there is always a way to go around him

if the sniper moves, there is always a way to find him

if you are out there killing with whatever weapon you have, that is a really cool way of doing things

for me, a good sniper is that wich even at close range can kill you with a head shot, i dont mind campers, they just add up to my teams score

i used to snipe, but never stayed in one place, that is hazardous.

I suck the biggest nuts at sniping. In COD 5 I had to take 20 minutes to snipe the guy across the way. I just have really bad eyesight for good eyesight if that makes any sense. I just can't spot things well from far away and then execute. But I hate my friends who do because they just destroy me.

If it took any skill I'd agree with you, but since it doesn't this is just mindless pretentious arrogance,

I'm usually very good at sniping in almost every shooter I play.

EDIT: 1000th post!

Personally, I'm fine with snipers as long as they don't have incredibly cheap guns and don't camp. This could just be because I'm incredibly good at sneaking up on snipers and knifing them in the back.

I have to say, other than some time with the [NSA] (Back when I'd just bought TF2), I rarely snipe any more. The only time I do is when I (as a heavy) get shot twice by the same guy, from the same position, and no-one has done anything about it. Then, I break out the rifle and clear the "obstruction" out of my way.

Someone sounds like he is compensating, what else do you play aside from FPSs?

OK, I'd like you to explain that comment because I have no idea where you got the idea from...

I generally play JRPG'S.
