I've tried sniping I'm not amazing but I can get a kill it's not really my thing. I'm better at mobile sniping or using a assault rifle at Med-longish range.

Just about any game where the sniping is developed, not just a gun that CAN kill someone.

So your trying to tell me if you camp in a building on COD4 with an M16 and pick people below off your "sniping" - because thats not sniping, thats camping and it doesn't take an ounce of skill.

*buzzer* sorry thats an incorrect answer. M16 is NOT a sniper, thats a semi-automatic machinegun with a scope as i like to call "the pussy sniper" or "the noob sniper" im partial to the Dragonov because it does have some recoil, can't be fired repeatedly and still be effective, and it does take more skill to master. And the M1014, because that has low recoil, but is a bolt action.

You know little about any of these weapons.

The M16A4 has a 3-1-s (burst, semi, safe) fire selector and is an assault rifle, not a machinegun. It doesn't come with a scope, and it's closest permanently scoped relative is one of the best marksman's rifles on earth (The SR-25).

The Dragunov is a semiuautomatic (read: fires quickly) marksman's rifle (not a sniper rifle).

The M1014 is a semiautomatic shotgun.

Yes, I'm a weapons geek.

Now to the point: People say there awesome snipers, i argue, without trying to brag, not many people beat or snipe me, its lying people, if you don't believe me, try me, i want people to stop saying there good with a sniper when there not.

Also about Simo: imagine how bad the weaponry was then, he was able to keep it in tip-top condition, and killing Soviets, you have to admit, that is amazing, shame he is dead, i would have loved just to talk to him.

I suck at sniping. I wish whoever put the first sniper in a game didn't exist, because they're just so annoying. A gun that can one shot across the map with perfect accuracy? Totally awesome. Whenever I try and play Halo or CoD or something, I always get sniped and just say screw it. (At least in Team Fortress 2, I can play as Spy and even the playing field.)

Most sniper "classes" don't have mobility...

But I can aim great, and I can hide fine, so yeah.

Also i was getting at the fact, it practically is a sniper, 3 shots of pure accuracy, and by scope i ment the ACOG,

Also i may have made a few mistakes with the weaponry, i haven't play CoD4 or looked at the weaponry related recently, i've been more concerned with weapons such as the L115A, and WWII weaponary, plus some "in production" weaponary.

I hate snipers. Hate hate hate. Not to be rude, but the majority of snipers are cowardly pricks that exploit the world geometry.

If you do not exploit the geometry, and fight with your team, than the above statement does not apply to you.

I love being a sniper, but if you want, I'll have a blade fight with you.

Really though, don't stereotype snipers as all being cowards and lonewolves.
