Not once, not once in that review did the reviewer say that it was unoriginal. Nowhere. Read reviews carefully if you decide to criticise them. Similarly, so what if they give sequels high scores? Many sequels build upon the original in meaningful ways, ways that improve an already good first attempt to make it better. That's the explanation for the high scores.ozan192 said:

Of course your 20 minute AMAAAAAAAAAAAZING experience trumps an in-depth review made by a professional. Sterling from Destructoid also gave it 6/10. Yahtzee hated it as well. I would love to try it for myself, but I can't, so I'll reserve judgment on the game, ans so should you, at least until you really play it. And I don't mean 20 minutes.

I hate to break this to you mate but that game you played all of in 20 mins,that was not Witcher 2, that was Angry birds Rio.

A further illustration of how meaningless number scores are. Witcher 2s a functional, unique experience with vibrant visuals, challenging gameplay, and the second best choice system I've ever seen (first being Deus Ex) in that they don't drag a narrow view of "morality" into it. The game takes risks & doesn't go the distance on all of them, I can think of 4 problems with it, so if you start at 10 take off a point for each problem, its a 6/10, but that's not a good measure of a game's worth.

I wish I could give an opinion about Witcher 2. But I stopped playing the first Witcher shortly after the first "encounter". I found the controls clunky and annoying and the characters uninteresting. Maybe it got better afterwards, but it certainly didn't make me want to find out. Does that make me biased? Or maybe I just didn't like the game?
