There was a great club in the town I was living in a few years ago, 5 euro to get in, 2 euro for a can of beer, 3 euro for a shot, good music and generally friendly clientele.
They had a fetish and reggae night once which was brilliant, people being flogged by girls in corsets, spandex and gas masks on a stage to chilled out caribbean tunes.
The clubs where i live now are pretty awful and i usually avoid the places unless i get really really drunk first. Still get to go to the odd rave though, so I can't complain too much.

The best time I've ever had at a club was at a gay club as well. Except it wasn't a regular club night, the Electronic Music Dance Club at my university rented it out for a night. I still had a great time. I didn't get hit on by guys though.AccursedTheory said:

Ah well I am a bit older then that young generation. Hell so when it is 90ties night I go out and dance, drink some beer have some fun and lay back while in the cafe area of the dance hall they have alternative music. YEAH!

The key really to have a good time is to know what crowd/music you are suited to. Really going on a night where you know you'll dislike the music. Hell just don't go!
I am quite versatile in what I can handle music wise but certain nights yeah the amount of drugs certainly rises...and fights happen. I am not there on such nights. But on the right nights you have a way more relaxed public

Well.. I get panic attacks in crowds, around loud noises and people getting drunk so.... Yeah, clubs and bars are generally not my scene.
I used to go to an underage club with some friends... There was no (offical) drinking and the club was never jam packed, so I could deal with it, somewhat. That was a long long time ago though.
Now I will only go to clubs if there is a show or band playing that I really want to see. I can usually keep my panic reaction down for that, but a few times I've had to leave early because I was about to either freak out or pass out.
But then again, I've also had the same reaction to crowded restaurants on a weekend night too...

Yes, I try to go at least once a week end, providing funding is adequate. Honestly, pretty much every time I get way to drunk and go nuts on the dance floor, i don't really even talk to anyone(because the music is way too fucking loud everywhere). I do enjoy dancing though :3

I have been, once. I was in 9th grade and the "freshman ball" was being held in one. The ball was a disaster and the music was horrible. They played fucking house music all night long. Do you know what house music is? It's a moronic, idiotic, fucked up repetitive beat played over and over and OVER again with minor variations between songs and some bimbo or a chav singing the same goddamn fucking tired moronic lyrics over and over again. I swear to Zeus if it wasn't for beer, vodka and flaming shots I would have woken up with a blood stained knife in my right hand and human flesh in my mouth the next morning.
