So I just got expelled for smelling a girl's hair, or the Quirkyness of The Escapist Community.

Why do you hate the Skynet scenario? I'm not saying that it will necessarily be our future, but don't you think that it's okay to ask if AIs would try to take over and what we can do to stop them?
Mm. The usual post is more in line with 'omg Skynet lol', as opposed to 'what are the ramifications of autonomous weaponry?'.

losing your faith in humanity due to an encounter with urine on a toilet-seat
Yeah, this is probably the one I dislike the most.

As well as all the sexuality threads, nothing new has been said in them for at least two years, yet somehow it's still so touchy that all kinds of people get emotional, mods give warnings to people saying stuff like they'd be grossed out if they found out their date was a transsexual the next morning, all that stuff. It's so unnecessary, just leave that stuff be. It has long since lost it's discussion value anyway.

But yeah, the "I've lost faith in humanity!" threads grate faster then someone running a cheese grater across my nipples.
*internet slap* *covers nipples* Thanks for that...!

And yeah, there were a few threads (not that many so it wasn't so bad) about the whole Jack & Calumon thing, and I agree. It is nice to see some genuine feel-good in some of the threads we're apt to encounter.

I get a bit sick of the 'awful thing justification' threads.

Kind of like when someone does something abominable and then relates the story on the forum in the hopes of garnering agreement with what they did.
That's sort of what I was going for with the title. People seemed to miss the point, so it probably wasn't very well-defined.

Misleading thread titles
Threads about "what do you like/hate most"
"Am I the only one who" threads, seriously there is more than just you one the planet of course other people will.
Constant Yahtzee quotes, we get it he said something funny, no need to repeat.

Off Topic: What is with the extended vocab, no offence at all but it seems very contrived and put on. Not saying you're unintelligent, just that it seems a bit "fake".

Not so much individual threads but it's irritating when a particular topic gets a high post count, other users decide they want a popular thread and, instead of thinking of an original topic, they make essentially the exact same thread. Case and point, the rapture or whatever's popular at the time.

The thread title disturbs me.
Perfectly understandable reaction from the school if the OT is particularly short.

Back on topic though, I'd say the zero faith in humanity threads. Some people are assholes, deal with it.

This.

Also the whole number of threads which complain about how soceity frowns upon the OP's misogynistic, racist and/or homophobic views which is then deemed a double standard or "political correctness gone mad".

But... but... Skynet is going to happen

And if it wasn't for Terminator being the most well known and biggest franchise where robots turn on their human creators, it would just be a different 'Skynet' from a different franchise

Well it's a funny coincidence but the threads I hate the most are ones with misleading thread titles. The title should be what the thread is about.

Something I've been arguing in another thread from early this morning through to this afternoon: the habit this forum has of just being plain fucking rude to one another if it's a thread about something we deem to have a simple or 'obvious' solution. If it's a thread about something we're uninterested in, it's not enough just to leave. No, you have to flame the OP and act as if you're somehow above them.

That and anything that has been developed for extra security such as an office or house must be 'zombie-proof'. It wasn't made to be generally secure, no; it's zombie-proof lol herpderp.

The 10 000 threads about the zombie apocalypse.

The millions of " You and your avatar" threads.

Finally, the millions of threads about " Hmmm that video game could be such a good movie".

Another thing that i find EXTREMELY annoying but that is not related to A thread it is related to EVERY non-video game thread. Each time someone is doing a topic on the "OFF-Discussion" forum. On any thread someone will always make a comment about video game or change the subject BACK to video games.
