Welllllll, I think it depends on how you are wired. Some people view sex as the end all be all, ultimate reason for existence. It is their highest state of being. So they pursue it in its many forms and imitations all the time with as many people as they can. Hence your triple digit friends. (I'm fairly certain a good number of my friends are in the double digits)

Which in my humble opinion makes them animals. Not that this is a bad thing, we are just jumped up animals after all, but I like to think there is more to life than the orgasm. Thus, I would say that it's better to be in a relationship if you're having sex. I just don't like the idea of hooking up and casual sex. It quite frankly bothers me. I let it go, I don't condemn it, but I find it pitiable and beneath us.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think people should wait for marriage if they don't want to, but have some feelings for the person. Make the sex mean something and it should be better.
That and having sex with a lot of people screws up the hormones in us that bind us to other people. Oxytocin in particular (released during birth, breast feeding, and during intercourse) emotionally binds women to their child/mate. It's released in men too during sex, does the same thing. Get bonded to t a lot of people, and you will never have more than a casual sex relationship, or at least you will be emotionally changed one way or another.

Of course being still a virgin, I could be wrong. So, just my opinion. And I stick to it ^_^

I find it funny how there are so many people here that talk about sex as a sacred thing, but have never had any.

Not to be a prick, but I can say the same thing about people who have casual sex and then assume that that's all sex has to offer. I'm a virgin, so I don't have the credibility that many others on here have, but from what I have learned, it's a great emotional experience. In a way, I find people who are looking for the right one hold themselves at a good standard. They don't settle for the low (by that I mean what they believe is a bad partner). Now I'm not against casual sex, it can be fun, but it can also be a learning experience, and it should be used to help you make your life partner happier. For me, I wanna wait, but i can't guarantee it because either the person I have sex with might later end up being a total *****, or I won't be able to control my hormones when she wants to get down and dirty.

As long as they're taking measures to keep themselves and others safe, I don't see how it's anyone's business how often or with how many people someone has sex, and I'm really not interested in hearing anybody's judgments about it.

As for your OT response, as I've stated before, those are my feelings towards the subject. I'm surprised at how many people seem to think I'm trying to push my beliefs on other people when I'm not. Trust me, there's plenty of that going on round here last time checked. I remember 6 girls in particular who had to leave school in the 8th grade due to becoming pregnant. 14 and 15 year old girls becoming mothers. Fucking crazy.
