I want Outbreak & Outbreak File 2 to be released on Steam for PC. Damnit ... why oh why did they release it on PS2 ?!?! If you were fortunate enough to play it online with actual humans, the game was fantastic.

You could split up and go searching for the pieces of the puzzle you need individually - or stick together. I remember a great bit in one of the missions (in Raccoon City hospital) one of the other players (Kevin, the cop) didn't turn up at our agreed meeting point. Me (George, the Doc) and another player (the reporter) went looking for her - we found her lying face down in a hallway near a few dead zombies. Obviously cornered and overwhelmed while separated ... we checked his inventory - a single handgun, empty clip. He'd taken a few of them out, but the T-Virus had overwhelmed him and he'd died from the infection. Saying a quick prayer, we continued towards the basement exit from the hospital - the sewer was our best chance to escape Raccoon City! A few mins later, and we'd completely run out of ammo. I was wielding my rather impotent broom stick - pushing zombies back desperately whilst the reporter chick tried to pick the lock of one of the doors ....

... and then Kevin turned up, transformed by the T-Virus into a horrible black wormy monster (that first big boss from Res Evil 5 - the one you burn in the incinerator? Yeah, same monster EXACTLY - you even have to kill it the same way).

It didn't end well. (*cue "YOU HAVE DIED!" screen*)



And all those guys out there who bemoan not being able to move while aiming? In Outbreak File 2 you could move while aiming. And it worked very well - especially when being attacked by a zombie hyena.

o.k, bring back the atache case, but keep the hotkeys so as you dont need to pause the game to switch weapons, next, add movement with the gun out, next, remove the second charcter as a necesity, shia was a stuipid theiving whore, if you have a co-op, have either a seperate story, or a survivor/soldier etc tagging along, that way they be disposable, but you can still play with a buddy on the fly. Also, less press x not to die moments, more huge ass creative monsters, change settings as much as possible (RE4 went from village to gothic lava castle to secret island base, twas awesome) throw in a less douche baggy character, throw out the cover system (it does not belong)

AND FOR GODS SAKE BRING BACK THE AWESOME GUN SALESMAN... Strangea

Ah here we go, Capcom you can redeem yourself with at least one of your fanbases here! First of all there's one very important thing I want Capcom to look at. I want them to go play Dead Space. See that Capcom, how Isaac moves whilst he's aiming at nasty Necromorphs? Resident Evil 4 was great, not that many enemies shot at you so stopping to fire was okay. In Resident Evil 5 you gave the Majini automatic weapons, it needed that move and shoot feature.

But please keep Resident Evil 5's inventory system. Seriously I loved it, it was about the only thing in the game that added tension. Also we need to have a talk about difficulty. Yeah, difficulty. I get that Professional was supposed to be hard, but 1hKO enemies when your partner AI has a 3 second delay in healing is not increasing the difficulty, it's just cheap, frustrating bad design. Even in Professional starting with no guns, no ammo, no health; I was still well stocked up on everything by the second chapter.

I want to kill fucking zombies again, not "infected".
I would like to see a completely new character, in a completely new setting, not "Oh, did you know what happened in this dark alley of Raccoon City? No? WELL NOW YOU DO! /cackle".
I really really really hope they don't add to the convoluted "wtf is going on" storyline, because if they do, it'll be as ridiculous as Terminator is >.>

Wow. 5 must of been a real disaster. 4 was already a action shoot em' up compared to the original, say.
Yeah it was but it was compared to the others but 4 still felt like a resident evil game while 5 just felt like modern warfare with monsters or something. Left 4 Dead was closer to a resident evil game than that.

They really need to do what Resident Evil 4 did and remove the game from the backstory of its predecessors. Have it still fit in, but the stupidity of the past games could very easily mess up what could be a very solid game.
I would also like to see it return to its survival-horror roots.

I dont want a RE game to be like 4 and sure as hell not like 5 I want the old style back and for the games to be horror not shitty wannabe action games that have us escorting or co-oping :/

You mean like the resident evil 5 DLC that put u back in the RE1 mansion with very little ammo and OverPowered enemies? I agree. I think they should keep the combat system, its solid. Maybe make it easier to trade ammo with a partner?

The game need to go back to ZOMBIES. I get that with the current combat system it may seem like they would be easy, but couldn't this be balanced with less ammo (to mak players more conservative) and more enemies? I think the overall WORST part of RE5 was when the nemies used guns, I mean really? freaking zombie spec ops?

I enjoyed the fact you could do a headshot + melee combo in recent titles.

MAke the wrold big, make it so you have to scavenge for ammo and make the place poorly lit and the zombies tough still. UNLIKE OP: RC which looks like you spend half the game shooting at other people with guns and ignoring the zombies, that and the overall controls look sluggish.

Keep the RE 4/5 mechanics (I thoroughly enjoy, yes present tense, both games, 4 had a pretty solid story and gameplay, 5 had a good co-op feature - and Merc mode. <3 the RE5 mercs).

Go back to Raccoon City (or some other poor bastard city). Zombies + the close quarters in the city = a good jump scare. Throwing in the odd Iron Maiden from RE4 would be pretty eerie in low light...

Free roam would be cool, but I understand it would be difficult to incorporate into a Survival Horror game.

Restrict ammo like you used to...I'm no programmer, but I know it's perfectly possible to just give players ammo when they're running low/will absolutely need it (IE, for a boss fight). Perhaps they could also scale the number/strength of zombies based on how much ammo the player has...if the player has enough ammo to compete with Rambo then the zombies spawned should be incredibly difficult to kill, but if they only have one mag they should go down like punks...forcing the player to decide whether it's worth the effort of killing each zombie...

Out of ideas, I made these up on the spot.

I don't mind Zombies or Las Plagas so long as the enemies don't run at me and stop within 1 foot and start walking.

Also a lot more puzzles like the first 3 games and just like the first 3 games throw in some sections with restricted camera angles, it's a dated formula but I'm way more edgy when I can't see around the corner rather than any huge meat-headed monster with forearms the width of Britain which I take down in a couple of rounds that the series has adopted.

One of two things: Rein back in on the actiony-shooty bits and remove co-op. Or, just fuckin' go crazy with the actiony-shooty bits and give us a third-person control system that isn't slow as hell and have sweet co-op goodness.

Either one is fine, just no more of the middle-of-the-road mediocrity that Resident Evil 5 was.

It'd be cool if they went back to how Resident Evil 4 was but with zombies, I loved the creepy castle and the claustrophobic buildings on the island, as well as the village. I didn't really like the African setting of Resident Evil 5, it was too bright to be even moderately creepy.

I think that the campaign mode should be a solo experience, but they should add a separate co-op mode, such as Mercenaries (which HUNK better be in!).
Talking of Mercenaries, it'd be awesome if they added everything from the 3DS mercs game, e.g. many characters from the series, and add in new ones aswell as previous missing characters, along with the previous maps and new ones too. I'd love it if mercenaries was 4 player co-op.

tl;dr - A solo campaign with RE4's creepy setting, zombies, and 4 player mercenaries
