Me? my power would be.......to make you feel violated. you can't fight if you're feeling violated.
Like a personal space invader? (+ reference cookie?)
What is wrong with you people! >_> you might as well take the ability to manipulate the libido or parts of the brain that control sex drive and sexuality and stuff like that.

How do you change the surroundings of a vacuum? teleport a large mass that can serve as a home to your location?
There's no logical way to do it, but the power isn't logical. It would simply defy the force of the singularity, preventing it from having an infinite gravitational pull, but would also prevent a collapse if that would present a vulnerability to the empowered.
I disagree with your logic. you stated your ability would essentially give you an ability you needed to survive a certain situation, kind of like darwin from marvel comics, so according to this, your mind would respond to said situation, forcing your body to respond the most logical way it knows how (E.G. developing a form of teleportation to teleport you to a habitble area, or developing an ability to absorb ambient radiation and other forms of energy to sustain yourself in the vacuum or inhospitable environment with no common source of energy supplement, like food.

This makes the assumption that my mind is the source of this power. It could conceivably be divine: an omnipotent deity watching over me. There's no reason to assume that my personal view of the situation would bear any relation to the method of preventing the vulnerability.

I would take Amazo's ability if I have all you guys next to me.

Here's the short version.

"Absorption cells throughout Amazo's synthetic body permit the android to replicate the special abilities of any super-beings in his immediate proximity."

Immortality (regeneration and never aging) or super parkour powers, ala Prototype. Or just the power of being so bad-ass that I could break the laws of physics.

I'm just going off of what you stated the ability pertains of. You said that the ability holder would develop abilities to perserver the holder.

What about super beings that are far away and have ranged powers - you'd be screwed?

Unless someone had Power Manipulation. They could null your ability first, then shut it off permanently.

I have said it before, in all the other super power threads, I've posted in and I will say it again. D-gray man character Tyki Mikk's power. The abilty to reject solid objects allowing him to phase through. He can also turn non solids into solids, allowing him to walk on air. Yeah I would love to have that one.

Indeed, but I didn't say how he would develop the abilities. If I implied that it was of mutation origin and it was a power that was personally developed by the individual then I screwed up the description. It could potentially come from any origin.

But you'd be stopped before that can happen.
