Alright FINE! The first thing that popped into my head is visit the rest of the universe, but since I am everywhere at once then the idea travel would be sort of meaningless. I guess I would adopt George Burns or Morgan Freeman's personality from their respective movies.
Let's see what else, oh yeah, kick the Babel Fish's ass and tell people to stop freaking out about the end of the world.

lads,loog for an rpg game called "exhalted" its like DnD, basically you become a god...and can try and do what ever you can think of xP someone was trapped in a room that was closing in on him.....he dodged it =S OT. id use my powers to join the world in one single religion worshipping me =P ending most wars and using my influence to have technology advanced =D
If I discovered I was God... I would erase myself from everyone's memories, and follow and protect the one person I actually cared about.
I'd restart the earth so that around the time of Humans their'd also be Dog people, More brutish Humans, More intellectual but sinister Humans, Neanderthals (Acting as the Dwarves of Earth), Elves, Lion People, Elephant People, and maybe Light Based Creatures. Then I'd speed up to our modern day, and watch the fun.
Also, I'd make myself well known on the earth so people wouldn't be screwing around with Religious conflicts.

Totally let the power go straight to my head. I'd probably do whatever I wanted, mainly just dicking around for the most part. I'd do some good like end religous wars (first through diplomacy, then through SMITING!). Overall all though I wouldn't be that much of a benevolent God, I'd fix up some major problems but then let humanity get back to doing its own thing. I wouldn't start forcing people to worship me but they better damn well respect me.
