I would take her to the nearest Dancing Stage machine.

Okay in all seriousness i'd probably give her something simple like wii sports... or maybe something a little more complicated like pokemon or super mario bros...

Okay it's gonna be tetris bejeweled or peggle I think.

Klonoa:Door to Phantomile.

It's fun, got some great tunes, easy control, and plus, you just feel happy playing it!

Columns, she used to play it on the Mega Drive back in the day and thanks to the Sega Classics Collection she can still play it.

Tetris or LBP. Easy to learn the basics from those games and get her trained for more advanced ones.

When I was little my mom was hooked on glover for the N64, but as of right now concerning what she likes the first game that comes to mind is amnesia the dark decent because she loves horror everything to a startling degree or an RPG such as dragon age origins because I think it be easier for her to pick up than an FPS and she likes stories like that.

I definitely would recommend Portal, my mum has watched me play and found it very entertaining, mind you, she might get frustrated actually doing the puzzles herself... not that she's stupid or anything, but her brain's just not wired for that sort of logic.

I would not recommend Burnout, as she's seen me play that and was terrified. Afterwards she seriously debated whether or not she was going to let me learn to drive.

Pokémon.

Its easy to pick up, easy to play, and I have a ton of them so it won't be like she's using my DS.
I'd probably second this, but I'm still obsessed with Soul Silver the the moment. XD

OT: I'd probably play something like Worms 2: Armageddon or Flower on my PS3 and maybe Bejeweled 2 on my PC.

Since my mom is a nurse, I'd totally force her into the 'Trauma Center' series, if only to hear her complain about how "these things would never happen in real life"...
Also probably Professor Layton and games of the like.
She's not an action hero unlike myself.

Sonic, because my mum actually played it every now and then when she popped into the room to see what I was up to.

She was good. But now? I'd probably give her Brain Training. Yeah yeah, it's standard stuff but it's good stuff.

Funny story actually, every time I watch House in the living room, all I get is my mum yelling at the T.V. "What the hell are you doing?! That's not how you do the procedure! You'll kill her!" It's actually hilarious...

Portal.
Everybody loves portal! I forced my physics professor to play it and he was instantly hooked!
