"Tsk, tsk, my dear. You forget I've only touched alcohol once or twice... I think the last time was Thanksgiving after the Hellfire incident," Katie chided, giving Leland a quick peck back anyway and lightly poking his foot with one of her own. "But, y'know, if we have a spare hour or two to ourselves this afternoon, I won't say no..."
"Oh, geez, get a room, you two," Rowan interjected, sighing dramatically as he cleaned up after his small breakfast. "Or at least keep your sex life to the bedroom where it can stay. Not all of us get as much action as the couples around here, if we get any at all." That was true, at least to him. The last relationship he had been in had been his first; he had mutually broken up with Sabrina after the Snake Alley incident.
"Who are you kidding, Rowan?" Katie asked, easily seeing through his disguise now that she was talking to him. "You can look like anyone in the world. I'm sure you've had plenty of adventures... Oh man. I just realised. If you look like a woman - "
"That question doesn't need to be voiced at the breakfast table, Katie, and the answer is yes," Rowan said quickly, cutting her off without looking away from the dishwasher. "I do go both ways, in case that wasn't obvious. I actually turned my first girlfriend bi because of my shapeshifting and my own sexuality. But I digress. Can we please move away from the more... risqué topics? I don't really know what to do for Tommy, considering it's his birthday and all... Any tips?"
"Something that's not fragile. In fact, you may wanna go the complete opposite and think of something nigh-indestructible," Katie said after a few moments of thought. There wasn't really much that Tommy couldn't break due to his incredible strength. She looked sideways at Leland and said, "I dunno... what did you get him, babe?" She had a few ideas herself, but didn't really know how to keep them away from a flora-oriented theme due to her plant-manipulation abilities.
