In using this analogy, I think it would be more accurate to say that, in buying a car and taking it for a test-drive, you will end up longing for something a lot bigger and chunkier to roll around town in, and will go and buy a bus instead.WanderFreak said:So by his logic, my not buying a car means I will buy a bus?
He isn't saying that people will buy a PSP to spite Apple. He's saying they'll buy a PSP because they'll get hooked on gaming by playing on the iPad and then start looking for something more in-depth.HardRockSamurai said:...umm...I have nothing against Mr. Koller, but I'm not sure I'm following his train of thought...
"...grrr I'm soo mad at the iPad...I think I'll buy a PSP, that'll show'em..."
I once got gang-flamed for saying that the iPad was Apple's "PSPGo".Irridium said:hm... whats the bigger rip-off?
PSPGo or iPad
We have a conundrum.

HA, sony fail. Just goes to show how shallow and gimmicky the iphone is that when people want a deeper console they get a DS.Logan Westbrook said:Sony still trails behind Nintendo by tens of millions of units however, suggesting that when people want a 'deeper, richer, console', they actually buy a DS.
Not to be a dink, but I think you have yourself a sentence fragment here.Logan Westbrook said:While it's true that PSP sales have grown year on year since the release of the iPhone in 2007, with nearly 42 million units sold, according to Sony's official figures.
Neither do I...This makes no sense. Full Stop.TimeLord said:I don't understand that logic :S
Did that with my Lite and DSi. They still work fine.Onyx Oblivion said:I love my DS.
My PSP broke on me. And I'm not gonna replace something I rarely used.
Sony may be quality at manufacturing with its home consoles (PS1,2,3), but the PSP is really poor quality. At least the original PSP.
I once dropped my DS down the stairs by accident. It fell on the top step and bounced down. The game didn't even freeze and I kept playing. Original brick DS, that is.
At least you can buy a handheld. I have the money, but my folks HATE handheld gaming devices with a passion, and so for the sake of family peace I let the matter lie.Simalacrum said:...lordlee said:there's really no reason aside of poverty not to have both by now.
*looks at shabby old PSP-1000, the only thing I can afford*
