First, as consumers, we should always be demanding of the corporations we like, we have to want perfect flawless products and cry havok when it doesn't happen or else we get coke 2, so screw the idea of not criticizing a major corporation. They get paid to sell us good services if they aren't always doing that they aren't doing their jobs.
Second, from the perspective of ANY area of IT, down time == death. Look at any major corporation's network to client relationship, if say Geico's network went down for 2 weeks I can guarantee they would have an employee purging and maybe even farm out their network to a third party while they get their ducks in a row. To not put Sony to the coals for this amount of downtime is ridiculous.
I don't have a ps3, I don't personally care about the breach, sony, geohotz, but I can't believe it when gamers become the most complacent consumers.
