Meh, a friend tells me that that his wii operates better online than his PS3, though that could be our area as were out of the way a bit. I rarely play online games myself, preferring to play with mates, so Mario Kart is good enough for me.

As for the PS3, what exclusives does it have already/are in development? I don't say this to flame or troll (or whatever new name people come up with next), I'm genuinely interested.

The only ones I'm aware of at the moment are Final Fantasy 13, Killzone, MGS4 and Ratchet and Clank. None of them interest me, and I couldn't care less for HD as I've a small telly, so no PS3 for me.

Well last I heard FF coming to the xbox.
Only the normal FF XIII.
Whats the difference?
The normal FF XIII is a multiplattform game (PS3 and Xbox 360) but there is another game called Final Fantasy Versus XIII (the one I will maybe like) which is a PS3 exclusive (except I missed something).

Sony needs to learn that hardcore gamers are looking for good games, not beefy hardware. It's like they were trying to build a computer instead of a console.

PS3 FTW.

but beside my fanboy rage(I own all consoles but this is my favorite) I do think the ps3 is the cheaper than xbox if you play live. The only thing that PS3 is in last place for is not enough exclusive games which is changing drasticly. I also think that the ps3 needs More internet Capabilities and more DLC because microsoft is t-bagging sonys stocks every time a dev says EXCLUSIVE CONTENT FOR XBOX! That is why I have both but no matter what I cant shake my fanboy rage.

Regulars turn based, Versus is action RPG.
not much of a killer difference if you ask me. Personally I'd choose turn based, maybe I'm just old and take things easy

Thanks for that explanation. I assume the PS3 version will be more like the last FF in its play style, whilst the multi format one will be the traditional IGUG system?

*sighs* After reading all of this I figure I might as well throw my hat into the ring but then I realized I don't wear a hat so I figure I'll throw my controller instead.

1: Sony right now is guilty of nothing that other companies haven't done in the past. Yes it is mudslinging and everyone is guilty of it just like the majority of posters in this thread. If you can't take it then grow an extra layer of skin.

2: It's all well and fine to complain about a lack of exclusive titles on the Playstation 3 but if you know how video games are made you realize that the companies that make the games get to ask the big-wigs ((Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony.))

Whether they want the game or not. They are under no obligation to put it simply to one company and to generate more fans of their work and get more revenue they'll more than likely want to put it on more than one console.

3: In my humble opinion from what I seen of the chart Sony is simply mentioning what is available out of the box. We should all also remember that due to people all being different and special... ((Unless you're a clone.)) That we all like different things in our consoles so the people that don't use Wi-Fi are understandably not going to be caring too much about it.

The same for the titles that a console has with it. Personally I can't stand the Wiimote and I really don't like having to pay to play online like with Microsoft but I also can't stand the fact that Sony dropped the ball on backwards compatibility. It's called preference and having an opinion and people shouldn't be penalized for it.

All the systems are good in their own way:

The Wii offers more simple enjoyable games to a larger demographic at a more affordable price but with lower additional options for the gaming enthusist.

The 360 offers a middle-ground melting pot of enjoyable games to a somewhat smaller demographic at a somewhat higher price with some more options.

The PS3 offers to virtually the same demographic as the 360 but due to the larger amount of options available with it the price is understandably higher.

Demanding of a company that they lower the price of their console to make you happy is not a good way to go about things. Thats like demanding an ice cream vendor to put more ice cream in the scoop because you simply want more. The more things that are added into a console and the more goods and services that come with it logically means that the price is going to be higher.

At one time I owned a Playstation 3 and I owned a 360. I used to play a Nintendo Wii my roommate owned regularly. I ended up selling my 360 because I didn't want to pay for XBL(A) and at the time Gears of War and Mass Effect were coming to the PC with Bioshock on the horizon for the PS3.

As I mentioned before I don't like the Wii's controller and I already own all of the older games so there wasn't really any appeal for the Wii to me. I had a library of PS2 games and I managed to get my claws on a 60GB and I enjoyed it until I unfortunately had to sell it to keep up with bills.

I still miss the 360 for some of the games it had and I still sometimes enjoy playing a game or two on the Wii but I miss my PS3 the most. I had fun with all the consoles so simply saying one provides more fun really depends on what I've been trying to mention all along.

PREFERENCE!

Why do they compare it to the Arcade unit? That's doesn't seem right to me...
They compare the cheapest SKUs from both the Xbox 360 and the PS3.

Anyways, I think that Microsoft got it correct when they realised that not all consumers want everything in the console, and that, by packaging them separately, they make their console cheaper and more accessible to the market.

Ah, I see. Thank you for clearing that up for me ;)

As long as PS3 and 360 exist the two consoles have to constantly compete against each other for the public's money. This means that the two companies will always try to out do each other by creating better consoles, better hardware, better exclusives, so on and so forth. Competition causes evolution. So who ultimately wins? The consumer. So to all the people who wish downfall upon the system they do not own, please take a course in economics.

2. I don't own any Blu-ray movies.
so you never bought a dvd player because you never owned a dvd player? that's a stupid reason because i'm sure once you got a dvd player you also got dvds as well, so if you had a blu-ray player you'd get blu-ray movies

yup once again it's "omg evil sony look at what horrible stuff they're doing" when everyone else has done the same thing in the past

While I see Sony's point in the whole buying more addons and stuff and the whole "bang for your buck" thing, after all the PS3 does come packed with generally more features than what you have to buy with the 360 to get the "full experience", I'll just say it;

Please show a little humility Sony! I love ya, I know, but could you keep your mouth shut a bit? Please and thankyou?

MGS4 is a great movie!

But seriously , what is it with people saying that the PS3 had no games, I mean common , it has plenty. There are more great exclusives on PS3 than you can afford anyway.
