I haven't been in any serious accidents, though when I was a baby I apparently managed to get hold of my dad's razor in the bathroom and cut myself. I was only little, so I don't remember it, but according to my mum I ended up cutting my hand with my dad's razor. There was blood everywhere, she said, like in a horror film, but when they cleaned me up and took me to hospital (only round the corner, fortunately) they looked at it, and just stuck a plaster on it, it was that trivial. Didn't even need stitches or anything.
However, I did almost drown once. I was kayaking on Bala Lake (in Wales) with the Boy's Brigade, I was probably around 12 at the time, and I was messing around and my kayak capsized. Completely flipped upside down, so I was stuck tight in a kayak, upside down, underwater. Couldn't remember how to get out in an emergency so I was struggling. I was only under for a few seconds before I managed to get out, but it felt like ages. Have to say I was somewhat lucky, otherwise I wouldn't be here now.
Oh, and my younger brother cut his knee open when he crashed his bike into a road sign. Had to have stitches put in for two weeks. And when my dad and brother were playing in a charity game at our local rugby club (home of the tallest rugby posts in the world, apparently

), one of the guys on our team ended up breaking his neck. My mum had to drive him to hospital in the middle of the game, driving really slowly so she didn't accidentally make things worse (the road the rugby club is on is full of speed bumps). He was fine in the end, though I think he was almost completely paralysed and can't play rugby again because of the damage.
