Proberally because toby maguire is a tool and his acting in spider man was more dryer than the sahara desert, Robert patterson on the other hand i would watch that just because it would be for lols and to see if it actually works.
I didnt mind the first spider man however the films after just made me feel depressed. The storylines are not exactly good ones.

The story-lines for the first two movies were actually pretty close with the comics. Aside from various factors like Gwen Stacey (the fans know what I mean) and other such things. Oh, and every major villain dying after their first fight. That was kinda... Unintelligent.

Anyway, the reason 4 as we knew it was cancelled was because Sony didn't give Raimi any creative freedom whatsoever and told him in no uncertain terms "you will use THIS villain", which he didn't want, thus he quit, and when Tobey Maguire did likewise, Sony knew they'd flamingo'd up.

Both a fourth and a fifth movie were planned, and at one time the idea of shooting the two sequels concurrently was under consideration. Are you freaking kidding me? Spiderman 4 getting cancelled is the best news I have gotten since God of war 3 was announced. Not only was Spiderman 3 shit, 2 wasn't all that great! And if that Sparkle Fairy becomes part of it...well...I might have to reevaluate my stand on the whole Marvel VS D.C. argument that has been going on for years. Not to mention the fact that Marvel movies in general have been taking a downward spiral for the past few years. Exceptions being Iron Man and the second Hulk movie. This is a perfect example of tearing something down to go back to the source material and making something truly awesome. Heres to hoping they don't forget about said source when writing this script.

They cancelled cause Raimi couldn't finish it by the deadline and didn't want to rush it. And how is re-booting the series adding insult to injury? I think it's a much better idea to re-boot than to replace Toby Maguire with some other idiot.Red Hood said:
