I'm cautious regarding the Starcraft series. I have a love-hate relationship with the first one, and I don't even play the multiplayer. Now, that's good and it's bad. Good, because it won't bother me if Battlenet 2.0 blows, and I think I'll be better able to judge the game as I like it. Bad, because it means giving money to Activision, and if I really enjoy the campaign, I'll have to shell out more cash to conclude it. I think it'll have to be really good for me to give more of my hard earned cash to Activision
So, as per the usual, I am going to treat it cautiously. I will not buy it opening day, or even opening month. Most likely, I'll try to play it on a friend's computer or try a demo before I buy. I will consider mostly the mainstream critics, since I can already hear Yahtzee warming up his bile factory for this one (which will be entertaining, but unhelpful to RTS fans). Then I'll take it from there.
