Damn! Christmas shopping has depleted my bank account pretty thoroughly right now. I am going to have to be very careful about what I buy. because I want it all and can only afford some of it. I wish I knew what was going to be on sale tomorrow.

Find a library or a Starbucks or anywhere with free WiFi.

A Question for regular steam users:

I'm getting a new PC in April next year. so can I buy some games in the christmas sale, but then install them on a different PC afterwards?
Lets just say I bought tf2 3 pc's ago, and haven't paid a cent more than the origional price.

*Cry*

I wish I had a reliable PC to play all of these on. I'd spend about £50 and be set for months.

It's too much, I can't take it..

VVVVVV
Stranger's Wrath
Civ IV complete edition
The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom
Total: £12.13

I've never played any of these games before - I should have a lot of fun ahead of me, non? And I don't care that I've been playing Deus Ex repeatedly for 10 years. At £1.49 I'm drawn to buying it again!

EDIT: OK, so I got Winterbottom after pages of people here commenting on it. 39p - I'd be a buttwit and a crudstache to pass it up.
EDIT: I suck at VVVVVV :/

yeah, I bought Deus ex last time it was about £2 purely so I would never have to go thru the huge effort of pressing the eject button on my PC to put the cd in the drive :D

Steam has installed in me a whole new level of lazy, when it's stupidly cheap I'll buy it again on steam for the sheer convenience...

Then recently I heard, if you add the CD Key to your steam account it will be playable as a steam game!

To those with low funds or no internet, it's on until 2nd Jan, so time to get some xmas money in cards hopefully, or to borrow a friend's PC or credit card and give them the cash!

I've actually tried entering the CD Key from games to my steam account, it doesn't seem to work for at least half of my games. It is kind of irritating because its like yea I have this game, but odds are I'll just forget about it because it isn't in my steam library.

On topic: This deal is kind meh for me. The only real outstanding game that I had to pick up was Super Meat Boy. The other games I picked up long long ago, and we've all seen a handful of these games on steam sales the last 2 months, hell Amnesia is on sale again, it was on sale a week ago and on Halloween. I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled for something interesting, but I doubt more than 1 or 2 games will force me to hit buy.

Why? Why does it start the week before christmas? It means my hands are tied when it comes to buying things as I could be getting it anyway.
I mean, some things are safe. I might re-buy PoP (2008) to have a digital copy as well seeing as it's only £3.75. But I can just tell that between now and christmas day there will be a load of times when all I can do is whimper and paw the screen.
The sale goes on until the 2nd of January, and I'm pretty sure some deals reappear and/or stay on for longer than a day.

Hmm I can't work out whether I should buy supermeatboy or not... I love the idea, the company and usually for about 15 minutes I love the original meatboy, but the problem is after fifteen minutes I'm stuck enough to hate the damn thing... Not sure whether or not I should get it.

Damn, I already spent too much money on GOG sales. Not to mention the money I spent about two weeks ago on some other Steam sales. This Christmas madness is gonna be the end of my poor wallet.
Well, at least today's deals don't interest me too much : already own Deus Ex, got Portal for free, has a physical copy of Titan Quest + expansion, Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath, and my computer couldn't run the other games. I don't dare to look at the other sales though, as my body feels the need to be feed by something else than digital entertainment.

My faith wavered for but a while. I was like "THATS IT? No classic amazing steam sale? So unlike valve. I saved up birthday money in anticipation and everything." And then valve proved me wrong. I love valve so much. I have loved them so long I am almost idolising them as a benevolent deity.

i love you steam. if only i had a gift to give to you. :(
You gave them money, didn't you?
But is that truly enough of a gift to steam?
'

No, you're right... Hmm... Surely we should sacrifice something.
I guess I am not the only one...
But yes a sacrifice is necessary. Lemmi see, Posiedon had Horses thrown into the ocean in honor of his grace and power. I guess for valve you sacrifice dolphins to represent their kindness and communal efforts in generosity. Im gonna go get the dolphins, you make an alter.

I'm really tempted to pick up the Unreal Pack. The only question in my mind is just how many people still play UT3?
