We gamers are a spoiled bunch. I grew up with gaming and consoles (my first was a ZX Spectrum back in the 80's) and I don't know what happened, but I long for the day when we, as a community, stop bitching about the "Evil Corps" that make and sell us our games and consoles.

"Sony sucks!"

"Microsoft sucks!"

"Nintendo sucks!"

We get it! You hate those corporations, even as you buy and use their games. Now, please, can we just move the fuck on?! It's getting really fucking annoying to hear these "Hero of the People" speeches in every bit of news and every posted thread in these forums!

Thank you for your cooperation.

Don't forget our undeserved sense of entitlement, and jaded ways.

And how we can't look at anything without going "it's better than x or worse then x". Even when comparisons are ridiculous. Remember the "Fallout 3 vs Borderlands" debate of yore? Most pointless debate ever.

Whenever I hear a console fanboy war, I just shake my head and remember the Atari 2600 won it a long while ago. [trollface.jpg]

And all those people bitching about the big companies: What are you going to do about, boycott them, sign a petition? Like that does fuck all.

Oh you know what else is annoying?

When people make posts complaining about people complaining and actually think it will make a diffrence, No it will not why?, Beacuse this threads going to go out of view soon enough or another persons going to come along and make a thread complaining.

The means doesn't justify the resualts.

You're a man clearly in need of an argument. I agree with you, in principle, but don't bring stuff like this up in forums, you're just asking to be hated.

The art of arguing has kind've fallen apart on the internet, however I think it's our right as consumers to hold the manufacturer responsible in creating games of the quality we know they can be. I think we just need to phrase it better.

Shit, might as well not post anything then, right? I mean, considering it will just "go out of view soon enough"...

Go back under the bridge, please.

But what will we do without these petty debates? You surely can't expect us to go to civilised conversation at the risk of enriching our or someone elses lives can you? Madness!

Yo dawg, we herd you like complaining, so we put a complaint in a complaint, so you can complain while you complain.

The Internet is powered by hate and fanboy rage.

And cats.

Probably mostly cats actually.

Write an angry blog about them. Yeah, that'll show em!
It's a bizarre phenomenon, though, this self-hate and rage in the industry. I'm a part of a lot of other forums dedicated to other hobbies, and a member of other communities, and yet the gaming community seems to be the preferred home to these... "issues".

You forgot the rabid Console VS PC people. Nevertheless, I understand, as I am one who walks into these sorts of threads and open-mindedly states that these wars are a pointless act which will not affect the outcome of a console, nor will the corporations even notice or care. It's a fruitless effort. Discussing cake in Portal is time better spent.

Fuck that shit. With the standards going to hell in pretty much every sector of the world, instead that capitalism and free market would make things interesting, it makes them worse. I'm glad we have a sense of entitlement, it means we have expectations and want the industry to reach them.

I bet if people would ***** this much about other things, the world would be a better place, because companies would actually strive to satisfy their customers, instead of delivering some half-assed product that people will gobble up, just because they don't have much choice.

Besides, if you don't like people arguing or bitching over your favorite game, or about your favorite platform, learn to not take everything personally.

I honestly believe that a hard to please fanbase will in the end receive far superior products, than the one that's just thankful for everything. I mean, let's face it with video game budgets going towards 20mio USD per game, I would expect perfection, and will not settle for anything less.
