He does deal with a lot. I tire of him being the go to joke for people who cant come up with something witty. He's doing what he loves and making money doing it. Good for him, as he matures i'm sure his music will become more diverse.

This happens with all pop musicians, as people lament the "good ol' days" without realizing that every generation had garbage, but we've long forgotten it now since it didn't stand the test of time. Pop music may indeed suck, but it is also manufactured for teenagers who sometimes haven't developed sophisticated tastes in art yet. No big deal.

His music is annoying but just like Twilight, if you don't like it, stop talking about it and giving him more attention.

Creating a thread for some attention I see...

Shut up, delete your account, never come here again.

You can't change peoples minds, they can do as they legally wish, this thread is pointless and will not change anything. Think before you post next time and make sure it is something worth discussing.
It's a response to the "Bieber's $40,000 Hair" thread, which was much more hostile and worthless then this thread. Don't be so aggressive.
Wait, what? They spent $40,000 on his new haircut? That is the biggest waste of money I have ever heard. No seriously, you must be fucking with me, $40,000?

"Despite all we throw at him" You mean the shitload of money, girls, fame, and success? I'm sorry, I was actually over the Beiber hate until this thread, but now it's coming back in full force. He has the world on a platter with enough money on the side to not have to worry about anything for the rest of his life if his career ended today. At a certain point you can take the god damn hate. A boy who can turn and have a full out orgy with the girls his elbow brushes against in the process doesn't deserve my pity, and the lil bastard can take a little heat.

Besides which he's a moron. I have not once typed Justin Beiber into any form of search engine and I've still seen him walk into a few different windows/glass doors and say the word "Germany" isn't said in the states.

I don't hate HIM personally for anything outside of some possibky douchy behavior. But my HATE is aimed at his success, his annoying fan base, and his music.

His fans can kiss my ass. Not the ok ones (they exist) but the psycho ones.

I don't like him because he's very conformist... though that's my only problem with HIM. I'm sure he's a nice kid, I just don't like his conformist bullshit. I have a much bigger problem with the boardroom executives who continuously try to shove him down our throats... or, if you want a better metaphor, in our ears.
Isn't subscribing to the counter-culture idea of not conforming actually conforming? "Not conforming" on the internet is pretty popular. It's quite conformist of you.
How dare you conform to the conformed who are against the non-conformed who conform by being non-conforming... I think that's right. If you go one step further, I'll have to kill you.

The more people react to everyone picking on him, the more we're all going to pick on him.

I don't hate him because he's famous or anything like that, I hate him because I hounestly do not think he deserves his level of fame and he's arrogant. I have not seen any footage of him that makes me go 'oh he's just a normal teenager', he always says or does something that just make me want to hit him.

Personally I can't stand the machine that makes the music in the first place. :/

This "I hate what he represents" nonsense makes me believe people in this thread are full of SHIT.

This is nothing new. There have been so many pop stars that do exactly what he did, especially in the 90's and no one bitched at all of those artists COMBINED as much as they complain about Bieber. To be honest, I didn't even know who he was until I read some youtube comments.

Grow up. No one makes you listen to his music and his fame doesn't take away from your extra special favorite band because the people who listen to Bieber wouldn't likely listen anyway.

EDIT: I mean hell, sports stars can fight dogs to the death or rape people and get less negative publicity than this kid? Are you fucking joking? People need to hop off of the bandwagon and stop wasting their angsty, meaningless hatred on someone that hasn't even done anything deplorable.

I think they're talking about how he gave some of his hair to Ellen Degeneras and she auctioned it off and the highest bid was about that. Am I right?

I don't dislike HIM, I dislike his music and what he represents, as in what all manufactured pop stars represent, the watering down of music as a mass produced commodity to make money for some suit, as opposed to music being enjoyed for the sake of enjoying it.

However, the people that post stupid youtube comments about "attacking beibers videos, and UP THE METAL MILITIA" and all that bollocks can fuck right off, they just make the rest of the counter culture look bad, although that could be said for the entirety of youtube, a cesspool of hate on the internet, even 4chan is pretty mature compared to youtube.

While I disagree with you saying people "Disagree with what he represents are full of shit" I have to agree with you on the 90s popstar thing, although that may have something to do with the fact that we didnt have the internet then as we do now, there probablly was the same collective hate, it's just there wasnt forums and centeral hubs like youtube for people to voice their opinions.

Like Yahtzee, growing up in the 90s I honsestly thought that I just didnt like music, because all I had access to was the spice girls, S club 7 and that sort of shit, I'm actually ever so slightly annoyed that my mum didn't listen to music more as I was growing up, as we have a shared love of old school punk (think Dead Kennedys, The Ramones, Motorhead(okay, not punk, but you get the idea)), and it wasn't till I was 13 that I even started listening to music.

While I haven't got anything against the kid personally, (although he did punch and pinch that random 12 year old to quite a degree recently, which I find in poor taste) it just pains me whenever a manufactured pop star comes into existance.

I'm probably one of the only people here that actually has a legitimate reason to dislike him, but yet I don't.

Bieber was born and raised in Winnipeg (my home town). And in an interview about his earlier life he basically said "I was born in some no-name garbage hick town" (I do not know the actual quote, but it was something along those lines).

But really, I just don't care. About the interview or about him.

People hate on him all the damn time, all over the internet. I go onto Youtube to listen to some decent music and the comments are littered with Bieber bashing, christ just give it a rest, I came here to get away from music like his, and these supposed metal/rock fans just can't stop banging on about him.

Same with me. I just don't pay attention to him. In another year or so he'll be long gone and some new girlboy will take his place anyways. It's a waste of energy to bother with these "celebrities".

Well, he has to retain a sunny disposition - his career depends on it.

I don't hate him in a literal sense - what I hate is society's reaction to him. He's going to milk his popularity for every cent it is worth, and that's the rational thing to do. He's just taking advantage of the opportunity given to him by society. If you hate the adoration foisted upon Bieber, don't blame Beiber, blame the media and the way society reacts to it.

It's like when people hate Michael Bay for his films performing well. That's not Michael Bay's fault - he makes the films he wants, and while I don't like his films, many others do. Why is it his fault that his films are popular? Isn't that the fault of society?

A lot of people complain about celebrities: "they're overpaid", "they do nothing for society", "they don't really work", "they don't deserve the good life they have" - but who gives them the money? Who watches the films? Who pays them attention?

Society does. These celebrities don't earn anymore than society is willing to pay them, they don't garner any more attention than society is willing to give.

The problem isn't Bieber - the problem is with the society that created Bieber.

EDIT: Celebrities don't have a duty to provide us with high-art or high-culture. Celebrities aren't responsible for OUR tastes. They merely respond to our tastes. Our tastes and our preferences are OUR responsibility. They have no moral duty to elevate us or teach us or enlighten us, and frankly, I think it's very bizarre that so many people hold them accountable for society's rapidly declining standards.

Doesn't matter what it is biased on. It is still spam.

(Also if I was all kind about it like some others that posted I wouldn't get the attention I wanted my post to have. You got to know your audience and how they'll react.)

See what I did there?

People need to stop acting high and mighty by pretending not to mind Bieber. You hate him! Admit it! Vent that anger, express your inner hatred of his squeaky little voice and stupid hair. But most of all, you hate what he does to girls and society. You may not hate him but you sure as hell hate his impact on the world.

This video has nearly 500 million views. We HATE that.
