I don't dislike HIM, I dislike his music and what he represents, as in what all manufactured pop stars represent, the watering down of music as a mass produced commodity to make money for some suit, as opposed to music being enjoyed for the sake of enjoying it.
However, the people that post stupid youtube comments about "attacking beibers videos, and UP THE METAL MILITIA" and all that bollocks can fuck right off, they just make the rest of the counter culture look bad, although that could be said for the entirety of youtube, a cesspool of hate on the internet, even 4chan is pretty mature compared to youtube.

This "I hate what he represents" nonsense makes me believe people in this thread are full of SHIT.
This is nothing new. There have been so many pop stars that do exactly what he did, especially in the 90's and no one bitched at all of those artists COMBINED as much as they complain about Bieber. To be honest, I didn't even know who he was until I read some youtube comments.
Grow up. No one makes you listen to his music and his fame doesn't take away from your extra special favorite band because the people who listen to Bieber wouldn't likely listen anyway.
EDIT: I mean hell, sports stars can fight dogs to the death or rape people and get less negative publicity than this kid? Are you fucking joking? People need to hop off of the bandwagon and stop wasting their angsty, meaningless hatred on someone that hasn't even done anything deplorable.
While I disagree with you saying people "Disagree with what he represents are full of shit" I have to agree with you on the 90s popstar thing, although that may have something to do with the fact that we didnt have the internet then as we do now, there probablly was the same collective hate, it's just there wasnt forums and centeral hubs like youtube for people to voice their opinions.
Like Yahtzee, growing up in the 90s I honsestly thought that I just didnt like music, because all I had access to was the spice girls, S club 7 and that sort of shit, I'm actually ever so slightly annoyed that my mum didn't listen to music more as I was growing up, as we have a shared love of old school punk (think Dead Kennedys, The Ramones, Motorhead(okay, not punk, but you get the idea)), and it wasn't till I was 13 that I even started listening to music.
While I haven't got anything against the kid personally, (although he did punch and pinch that random 12 year old to quite a degree recently, which I find in poor taste) it just pains me whenever a manufactured pop star comes into existance.
