I've seen a few people say their Schools Firewall was stupid, But I think my High school's wins. It was so restrictive we couldn't even access Google. In our first year of High School we found the back door, but if you were caught using it you would loose your computer privileges for the year, and the back door was removed before the next year started. Out computers were useless as Research Aid's as the only thing you would be able to access is the "blocked page" page >.>
What's the point in a school having computers if they don't even allow you on Google? That's a popular search engine to find information for school assignments. I know I've used it a bunch of times for research assignments.

Local schools have banned Tag during recess
Why did they ban tag of all things? That's a game that involves running, which last I checked, was good for you. What possible reason would they have to ban it?

Just don't quote me on that. Like I said, it was a long, long time ago. And I think she was older than Ash... but since I don't know his age... never mind.
Ash and Misty were both perpetually 10 years old, until one of the more recent series aged Ash up to a whooping 13 years of age. In any case, if you are remembering right there's no way they actually showed her nude, racier anime then Pokemon use steam to sensor bath scenes.
Yeah, I didn't mean that they actually showed anything. I probably would have remembered that and probably would have been horrified.
http://animebaths.wikia.com/wiki/Misty Yeah, it happened.

Alcohol. Prohibition was so silly. And now we're seeing the same thing happen with weed.
Except weed was never legal to begin with.

But I know what you mean. It's no worse for you than alcohol and tobacco. Although yes, you shouldn't be smoking it all the damn time, just like you shouldn't be drinking all the damn time.

And no, I'm not a pothead, and I think it's overrated in general. But I think it's kinda silly to ban.

Really, it's probably only banned because it's considered a "Gateway drug", as well as other reasons, but that's for a different topic.
Sheesh, again with the "weed was never legal to begin with" thing.

Marijuana was not restricted in the US until 1906, when it was outlawed in the District of Columbia. A nationwide ban wasn't implimented until a whole 31 years later in 1937. Until then, the growth of, sale of, and usage of marijuana was not restricted or regulated at all in the US. George Washington even grew cannabis on his personal plantations. It wasn't an uncommon thing.

And for the sake of comparison, Prohibition went from 1919 to 1933. Which means that in everyplace but Washington DC, marijuana was legal all throughout Prohibition and for four years afterward.

Yeah, I remember the episode. I just meant about how far my little search and find book goes. Never knew about the manga scene though. Thanks for the link.

And to keep up in the spirit of the forum, 4kids tv, essentially replacing or you could stretch it and saying 'intending to ban' rice balls and replace them with crudly drawn sandwitches... or even keep the rice ball and call it a jelly filled donut. I mean... really? This honestly confused me as a child, I think.

Our local school banned the kids from taking crisps and chocolate biscuits in their lunches, said the council had demanded the kids ate healthy meals and that the teachers couldn?t cope with kids full of sugar and e numbers!
Well I remember hearing from some girl in one of my college classes that at a high school that her sister goes to, they banned stuff like that and people bringing in things like fast food or food from food chains like subway. Not because of the health part, but because they said that it wasn't very nice to eat stuff like that in front of people that couldn't get stuff like that for lunch. It was basically a ban of things that might make the poor kids jealous that the more well off kids get to have nicer things for lunch instead of the cheap bad tasting school food.

If I was the parents of one of the kids that didn't get to take what he wanted for lunch, I would go to the person who thought up the ban and smack some sense into the person.

On other note, I don't know how many elementary schools are doing it, but at the one where my little nephew goes to, they banned the bringing of anything with peanuts in it for lunch. Apparently, there was one kid that had a peanut allergy so they did it to protect the kid, in case he accidentally ate somebody else's food. So, the childhood staple of peanut butter or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, are not allowed at his school. I would have been screwed if that happened at my school when I was a kid, because I pretty much lived off of peanut butter and jelly because it was really the only thing I liked to eat(I was the pickiest eater back then, still am to some extent today).

Well they changed it again. In the intro-episode of the series for Black and White, the narrator says Ash is ten years old. They even made him shorter than he was, and regressed his voice similar to what it was like in the first series, whiny and kid like. They even made him forget important things like having to battle a Pokemon before catching it. Twice with two different Pokemon, he tried just throwing a pokeball. They just killed off the mature points that he has gained over each series. He is just a stupid little kid again.

It's really moronic what they have done, he should be at least 16 years old by now.

In school, myself and my group of friends got shit from people about playing Magic: The Gathering. So, we went to the one place where they (Mostly) didn't go. The Library. It continued, I got sick of it and snapped and then they were banned. Y'know, instead of doing something about the ones bullying.

Thankfully, I am pretty good friends with some high-up staff so we got the decision overturned.

And then there was that one-day ban on MTG my school had because when asked to put a chair back (In the library, again), my friend replied "But isn't this where the chair goes?"

Yes, this is Australia.

My old high school used to ban all candy from being sold on campus. Then a candy black market sprung up and they realized that a single kid was now earning the hundreds of dollars they could have made. The ban ended pretty soon after that.

Flat chests in Australia.
Violent video games in Australia.
Lolicon, shotacon, and all other types of porn that doesn't involve real people in any given part of the world, which means Australia again.
Half of the things banned in Australia.
Must agree heartily, seeing as I live there. Heck, Left 4 Dead 2 wasn't even THAT violent compared to some games that only got rated MA! (Fallout 3, GTA4, Heavy Rain, Gears of War... and they didn't censor Modern Warfare 2 at all.)

Edit: Messed up with entering the quote, so now I don't know who said it. It was on page 1, though.
